The story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Bich_Pan

TLDR: Toxic tiger parents caused their kid to lose their sanity and plotted for the parents death

spoilerI personally sympathize with Jennifer Pan. I mean, I don't condone parricide, but like... I get it, I understand what she gone throught and why she did what she did. Not saying what she did was right, but parents like that had it coming tbh.

Full disclosure this is the first I've heard of this and only read the linked Wikipedia article.

With that said I don't think it was justified at all. Yes her parents sounded overbearing and abusive, but I don't think that condones them being murdered. She was 24 years old and had been working as a waitress to buy books and crap to make it look like she was going to school. All the while dating a guy who managed a restaurant and sold weed.

Why didn't she just leave and move out on her own? There were multiple other ways for her to get out of that situation yet she chose murder.

Why not just sue the parents?
