This lemming says hello:
OP won't see your image unfortunately, because of a difference in how embeds are handled (Mastodon's use of image attachments to Lemmy's use of MarkDown has been fixed in one direction, but not the other).
For anyone wondering what the image was, it's here: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/pictrs/image/5854765e-4707-4b21-b93f-00f3d781ad71.webp
Also, since I'm not replying directly to OP, I think I also have to do this: @mho@social.heise.de
@andrew_s Between Lemmy and Friendica (this account), all pictures are now even federated in the replies.
This is what it looks like from here:
Between Lemmy and Mastodon /Sharkey currently only a maximum of one picture in the OP. But it seems to be possible in principle.
Since last year, a lot more has been working between Lemmy and the other Fediverse.
To be more precise: At the moment only in one direction (Lemmy > Friendica) all images are displayed. This is how it looks in Friendica: https://anonsys.net/display/bf69967c-7067-83af-dbbc-0fd212873067
Hello from #PieFed ๐
@mho Only the first paragraph is a bit too long for the heading field in Lemmy. Therefore, the heading is displayed truncated.
This is what it looks like:

I should perhaps add this to my guide.
.
Will you write something about it at Heise?
Thx. I have no article planned, but it's good to know this, if something comes up.
Why have I been surprised by heise running their own instance? :-D
Hi from Lemmy.
Dito!
It's showing up on Lemmy fine. However, I think I need to create a post filter for hashtags or cross-site posts somehow.
#If #I #wanted #to #see #shortform #socialmedia #posts #i #would #use #the #proper #site #for #it ... #testicles #wwjd #nascar
If I tap your testicles is something supposed to happen?
Depends how hard u tap em.
Hello from piefed
Somebody from bluesky comment under.
I assume the post will federate but not the comments idk tho

Lemmy has been reached
Hello from infosec.pub
I can see it and post on GoToSocial, but the comments are not showing up on lemmy.
Maybe lemmy.world needs a bit more time to federate them. I can see 9 comments from my Lemmy instance already.
It's top of 'hot' on Voyager via Lemmy.world now.
You might be able to speed it up a bit by copying the link of your GoToSocial post in Lemmy into the search box.
Tried, looks like it's not showing up. Oh well.
I'm not seeing any GoToSocial posts in Lemmy world or piefed. But I can see them within GoToSocial and a separate mastodon adjacent instance.
It may be that not all instances are federating in both directions yet. You can send something from Gotosocial to one of the test communities (e.g. !test@feddit.org , but lemmy.world may also have one) if you want to test it further.
As much as I like the idea, this post to me makes me feel like I'm having a fucking stroke, I hate it
From here (webapp) it looks quite ok. You seem to be using an app that exaggerates hashtags a bit too much. (which app is it?)
It's Sync
Wonderful app for everything else
Unfortunately the dev possibly fell down a hole six months ago
Oof not great for an app which can cost a fortune to remove ads fully
Reply to other software it check reply federation, as that's often broken. Hello from lemmy.dbzer0.com
Saying hi from lemmy, the italian feddit instance
Hello from a programming.dev lemmy user
Hello from PieFed!
@mho @fediverse When viewing the post on pixelfed.de I can see two comments from pixelfed.de users and one from pixelfed.social, yet I don't see them federated to Mastodon or Lemmy.
@mho @fediverse noice ! I was thinking about creating something similar, but it's seems that I'm a bit to late. If we want to counter Meta and offer decent EU social media, agnostic broadcast protocols are a key element.
@mho@social.heise.de
Hello from kbin.earth (mbin), I can see the post in the microblog feed. Upvoted and boosted.
Saying hi from Lemmy!!
