I'm no biologist, but I'm pretty sure nobody produces gametes at conception. If you want to be pedantic, oocytes form before birth, but actual sperm and eggs don't show up till puberty (feel free to correct me).
Now, I would LOVE if we don't assign gender till puberty, but I still don't like the method.
What about people who produce neither?
They usually handwave and claim "they don't count" because they can't reproduce, assuming that somehow means they can be ignored.
i don't think embryos produce any reproductive cells right away so that handwave would have to cover... everyone
I recommend everyone visit the DMV as soon as possible to change their license. It's an order from the commander in chief.
