lol no it's not. taxes went up for everyone making less than 300k. but fox news calls it tax cuts. low income maga voters buy it it hook, line and sinker. high income maga voters actually get the tax cut.

they saw 4 years of this clown and more felonies than fingers, and came out in droves to vote for him.

magas not cracking anytime soon.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 163 points 13 hours ago (3 children)

I have heard that so many times now...

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 58 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

I think it's a typo this time .... 'MAGA is starting crack now'

That's the problem, if they start doing crack they'll be more mellow (I hope).

But yeah, Jr uses so much powder that his nose can travel through time and lives permanently in the 80s.

[–] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

... they stopped at some point?

[–] RamblingPanda@lemmynsfw.com 7 points 12 hours ago

Yes, but they didn't like meth

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 11 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Maybe we should create a "MAGA is beginning to crack" shitcoin to fund planned parenthood.

[–] randompasta@lemmy.today 3 points 6 hours ago

I hate crypto shit, but I'm in.

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 6 points 11 hours ago

It will be daily just like last time. THIS TIME DRUMF IS FINISHED

Hey kids - those of you who maybe had other things to do than obsess over the absolutely insane batshit daily events of the first trump turd circus, I have an exciting Pro Tip for you which applies for the next four years at least.

All the corporate news sewers are going to goose every article with "May" and "Seems" and "Could" and "Shows" and all kinds of waffley-weaselly words that don't mean anything at all, but pretend as if somethning has actually happened.

They do this because they have nothing else to do - the obvious breaking down of the lies, the calling out of horrible transgressions and so on you might have thought they would do at one point is absolutely never going to happen, this is all they got. They are miserable stenographers of fascism and they don't have the courage to fight the boss or leave the industry.

Also, watch for the "insider" articles, becuase they're exactly the same, they also mean nothing at all, but they're "insiders" see, so you know it probably looks like it's important or something.

[–] socsa@piefed.social 14 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

I'm not really sure I'd call the Atlantic a "corporate news sewer" tbh.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 16 points 12 hours ago

Fair, I think they're pretty good in general, but they are corporate news. And this title is kind of an example.

TL;DR: It sounds like the MAGAts are going to fight each other and everything might turn out okay, but before the paywall it basically says they're deciding if things will be horrendously bad or just unbelievably awful. There is no hope there.

Steve Jobs' wife Lauren Powell Jobs publishing it makes it non-corporate?

No such thing as a good billionaire.

[–] tyrant@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago

Click bait for those of us that want it to crack just a few days into Trump's presidency

[–] rickdg@lemmy.world 29 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Bad thing for Trump is really happening this time, guise.

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 10 points 11 hours ago

wowee can't wait.

le sigh.

[–] oakey66@lemmy.world 29 points 12 hours ago (1 children)
[–] azimir@lemmy.ml 15 points 12 hours ago

I heard it in 2017 and 2018 and 2019. It'll crack eventually, but it really doesn't matter at this point. The oligarchs have been seated in the center of power, so the majority of the coalition becomes less important to them anyway.

[–] FilthyHands@sh.itjust.works 32 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

...as they seize the reigns of power.

[–] cm0002@lemmy.world 7 points 12 hours ago

Our best hope for the next 2 years (hopefully we have another free and fair election anyways) is that they get hemmed up by "dog that caught the car" problems

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 17 points 12 hours ago

Honestly I'll believe it when I see it. They have always fallen in line.

[–] shoulderoforion@fedia.io 19 points 12 hours ago

protip: no it really really isn't

[–] Anegro_Montoya@sh.itjust.works 12 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

You heard them, nothing to worry about. Just a few hundred billion more cracks and perhaps MAGA may, potentially start falling apart, maybe. But you all can settle down, now.

[–] octopus_ink@lemmy.ml 8 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

Yep. Way too similar to the last four years of the Merrick Garland DOJ.

There's no getting out of this court case, this new evidence is damning! He's really going to see some consequences this time! Just a few months from now!

[–] AlexWIWA@lemmy.ml 7 points 11 hours ago

Copium I’m afraid. They’ll always fall in line

[–] ShadowRam@fedia.io 9 points 12 hours ago

So this is The Apprentice,

where a whole pile of people just make drama for the sake of drama?
