First thing that comes to my mind is OG and McDaniels. Next tier would probably be Wiggins, Herb, Dort. I would put stars like PG, Kawhi, Jimmy on a different tier too.
Mcdaniels, think he still has room to grow too

I know advanced stats aren't the be all and end all but just look at mcdaniels and tell me he isn't a top 5 defender.

According to B-ball Index, Jaden McDaniels has the best perimeter isolation defense and ball screen navigation grades in their 10 year database.
He also had the biggest jump in perimeter isolation defense from last year and is ranked the best in the league.
Filtered down to wings, McDaniels is the right most outlier on this chart, and this is while being 99.6th percentile in matchup difficulty.
Prime Kawhi is the best defender I've ever seen.
Right now tho, OG probably takes the title as best wing defender.

McDaniels, Caruso, Dort, Thybulle. If we're going purely by the data+eye test and combining the two, they're the best.
Picking out of these guys seems reasonable: Dort, OG, McDaniels, Bridges, Brooks, Himmy, Caruso, Herb, Kawhi, AD.
I feel like you have to pick from Herb, McDaniels, Brooks, OG, Jrue and Dort. The others I could see an argument for, but probably not the best.
My homer take is that AD is probably the best overall defender and most versatile. I don’t think anyone does as well at defending the rim, being a help defender, wing stopper, and can switch and hold their own like him.
