This man has never been this wide open, and he was an elite shooter last year in Washington.

He's taken 38 shots and is 60% from 2 and 62% from 3.

Everyone is talking about the Giannis/Dame PnR, but I believe the Tatum/Porzingis PnR is going to be as deadly because of their size and shooting combination.

The gravity that both Tatum and KP provide individually and within the context of the team makes the Celtics damn near unguardable. Having five shooters and guys who can make plays with the ball on the floor at all times with the starting 5 makes the Celtics unguardable. Mazzulla has said he will mix and match with the starting lineup depending on matchup....sometimes Al will start. Think Jrue starts most games but not all games.

Imagine the luxury of Jrue Holiday off your bench. The Celtics are ridiculous.

I’ve been appalled at the way the NBA podcasters (Lowe, Bontemps, recently the jokers on the ringer nba show) have dismissed Porzingis as a legit 3rd offensive threat behind the Jays. One dude said they thought he’d be more a 6th man by the playoffs. That’s ludicrous. He’s an excellent third option and there are plenty of nights he’ll lead them in scoring because he’ll get so many good looks.

I get the injury concerns but a big portion if NBA heads have also written him off as an all-star level talent, which he is.

Preseason those bums will crumble in the playoffs

[–] Btotherianx@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Pre season.

People are waaaaayyy over hyped about this guy. Overrated injury prone.

Do a remind me if you are going to call me out, I'm not scared

There’s not enough talk about how dangerous the Celtics are

It’d be pretty cool to see Porzingis do well, hopefully he can stay healthy! Does anyone have insight into how he is off-the-court or in a team locker room? I vaguely remember there being question marks about his chemistry with Doncic and the Mavs as well as some stories about things happening in Europe with him, but idk how much of that was more than just speculation.

As a hardcore bucks fan I have to admit that the Tatum/Porzingis PNR could be amazing

for the 5 games that KP is healthy for

You’re welcome, plz treat him well :)

This guy is the whale I think we really missed on, not Dame.

He has that big “if he’s healthy” disclaimer though. Can’t really just assume health for him. Gonna be really interested to see how all this goes for the East. I will say that Boston matches up nicely with Denver now at least if you accept that Jokic can’t be stopped.

Hell be hurt in a month give it some time

[–] britchesss@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I was at the game on Tuesday and you’re 100% right. Dude was getting completely wide open looks from 3

[–] GillbergsAdvocate@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm a firm believer that nothing that happens in preseason means anything

And yes that includes how great Kuminga has been playing

[–] Drakbob@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Not gonna fall for the hype. He'll prob get injured like usual when things are flourishing.

[–] StanleyStutters@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If healthy he’s definitely gonna thrive here. He could really put up some career marks in Boston… if he stays healthy which is always a big if with guys that size
