Yea I lived in Vegas for the last 5 years. Despite the fact that most of the population is transplants, they support their teams.
They aren't really supporting the raiders at the moment but its a much different situation than the knights.

I can't imagine most NBA players having any interest in a Mexico City franchise. Long travel times, a language barrier, seems more unlikely they'd want to move their families. Just seems like a mess.
