You missed a number that explains a significant difference between who they are as players, the percentage of their shots that are assisted. What makes Dame so valuable is his ability to create his own looks. Dame has averaged 20% of his 2PA being assisted, and 46% of his 3s over his career. Maxey in comparison has 43% of his 2s and 73% of his 3s assisted.
I can't imagine most NBA players having any interest in a Mexico City franchise. Long travel times, a language barrier, seems more unlikely they'd want to move their families. Just seems like a mess.
