I said Spurs shouldn't be really bad and get a good pick, when many fans were saying we should've 5 years ago.
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Tbh all those people were stupid anyway. Imagine tanking for anyone other than Wemby
I thought Fultz was the clear best player in the 2017 draft and that Ainge fucked up by trading down
To be clear, I liked Tatum a lot of the time, I just loved Fultz 😬
I thought CP3 will finally get a championship ring.
We’re trying, Jennifer!
I thought Lonzo was going to be a top ten PG of all time when he was drafted
I’m sorry you said whuttt??
I wanted us to take Culver over Garland because of fit. Reason 1 of 5000 why I’m not a GM
Wolves needed to trade down from the #1 pick because Ant was going to be Wiggins 2.0.
We should make a deal with Atlanta, get a promising young wing in Cam Reddish and be able to grab up the sleeper of the draft, Killian Hayes, with Atlanta's pick.
I wanted to trade Anthony Edwards for Cam Reddish and Killian Hayes.
I thought Donovan Mitchell was gonna be one of the best shooting guards in the nba oh wait 😂😂😂
I said Brook Lopez would be 90% of Tim Duncan and should go number 1 in the 2008 draft.
Then, by the time the Bucks signed him for peanuts I had turned on him and I said he was basically Greg Monroe with a three point shot and that they should have signed a combo forward like Rudy Gay or Luc Mbah a Moute instead
I bet my friend $50 circa 2013 that Anthony Davis would win an MVP. I suppose I technically don't have to pay up until he retires 😂
I thought caris LeVert would win 6th man of the year at the start of 20/21 season. Ended up in Indiana and diagnosed with cancer
I thought Steph was too injury prone to be the superstar the Dubs needed to get to championship contention, and was very against them re-signing him, even at a discount.
I truly thought John Salmons was going to break out and be a multi time all NBA player.
I thought Devin Booker would forever be a “good stats, bad team” type player.
To be fair I didn’t foresee Sarver selling.
Wouldn't call it a take but I was a big believer in Oden being an elite C. Thought he'd be the league's best C one day.
I was one of these Fade for Cade suckers that thought he was generational.
I thought for sure Rudy Gay was gonna be at least an All Star. Thought he was a Lebron prototype at least.
"we didn't even get shamet?? Would rather have him than Shai not gonna lie"
In 2019 I said to a friend that the Suns were lost and were going nowhere, and that the Celtics would not be able to attract top free agents after screwing over their players
In 2012 when he really broke out, I thought Steph Curry’s shooting was a flash in the pan and some of the shots he was hitting was just luck. Like there was no way someone was THAT good of a shooter while taking and making shots with such insane degree of difficulty.
Like I had seen him do this since his Davidson days and still didn’t believe it. Turns out he was actually the GOAT shooter by a long shot and he wasnt just lucky for 15 years in a row. Very glad to have been wrong with that take
“Lebron is going to regret trading away Wiggins”
I thought the hype surrounded LeBron when he was about to be drafted was way overboard. He's just 18 and played against High school kids. He's no Kobe. He will be out of the league within 5 years.
I thought Lebron's game relied on athleticism and it wouldn't age well... yeah well shut up
I thought the Nuggets were crazy for choosing Jokic over Nurkic
Marshon Brooks would win ROY
I legitimately thought Andre Drummond was gonna be Dwight Howard 2.0 when he broke out. He got Kobe’s seal of approval and that was all it took for me to buy all the stock
Thought Terrence Williams (drafted 2009 by the Nets) would be a superstar and light...very light...version of LeBron
I thought Ish Smith was going to be (at the time) a starting PG for many years to come
I thought Jared Sullinger would have been a shorter version of LaMarcus Aldridge. I was a silly 8th grade Celtics fan for sure
Expected LeBron to atleast average 28/8/8 over his career.
Good god how wrong I was
Ummm...one off the top of my head was thinking Wall/Beal were just as good of a back court as steph and klay
“That's what happens when someone smaller, younger, and less athletic than you takes your crown AND throne. And then makes you dance for his amusement.”
