Embiid shot 3-of-12 from the field and 14-of-15 from the line tonight which is wild. The NBA is truly back.

Playoff Embiid back in action

No ankles or ACLs are safe 😤

[–] CIark@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Can’t believe he’s already in second round form, truly no days off for the MVP

[–] SirJoeffer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

5 rebounds in 33 minutes. Truly the most Embiid player in the league rn, nobody is doing it like him.

Nba is a sitcom masquerading as a reality show. They control the script and the outcome. If they want to swing a score they just start blowing that whistle every play.

Magikarp in playoff form already

Only if he's shiny

[–] nikop@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Take Jordan Poole's 1 for 16 night to remember, flail around until you get gifted 15 free throws, finish the game with respectable numbers. 82 games later you're the MVP. Then fake your annual playoff injury, lose in the second round, chose a scapegoat to fire or trade, hire his replacement, enter the new season proclaiming that this time it will be different when Embiid is finally healthy. Rinse and repeat

Not great from the field but 33 minutes in his first and only preseason action is pretty impressive.

[–] ImGonnaChubbBradley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

And everyone wonders why this dude sucks ass in the playoffs when he can’t bait a call every possession

[–] AP3ISAWESOME@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

He shot 55% from the field last year taking midrange jumpers and threes💀. Y’all are really basing all of this off of a preseason game🤣.

[–] ImGonnaChubbBradley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

15/8/1 on 28% and 20/12/2 on 29% in his last 2 elimination games

[–] AP3ISAWESOME@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

everyone knows elimination game stats are uninmportant, its too small of a sample size

[–] superdraws@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Literally the most meaningful games of the season.

[–] jswagbo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ahhh 2 whole games compared to a season

[–] ImGonnaChubbBradley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

How about 17/12/1 on 36%. What about his 21/11/4 on 33%. Don’t forget about 15/12/2 on 40%.

Embiid averages 22/11/2 on 39% in 9 elimination games in his career. He’s trash when it matter most and that’s what these stats prove. But don’t worry you can always count on him to get 15 FTs a night during the regular season to boost his stats.

[–] antipistonsandsixers@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Don't forget the 25 turnovers in the last 4 games vs the Hawks

TALK YOUR SHIT 🗣️🗣️

[–] Halfonion@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

This thread is a clown show. Basketball fandom has become so toxic, it’s by far the worst in sports.

[–] ImGonnaChubbBradley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I will continue to clown on Embiid until he makes it out of the 2nd round. Until then he remains a foul merchant and a fraud.

[–] Robinsonirish@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Nah Bro. Youre just on the recieving end and have been for while a while now. It will end eventually. Philly fans can really dish it, you gotta take it as well.

Embiid deserved his mvp and shat the bed in the playoffs. It happens. People will get over it soon enough.

[–] Halfonion@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I appreciate the sentiment, but your comment is missing the point. I’ve been a 4 major sport fan my entire life. I’ve been through a shit ton of ups and downs over several generations of players and incarnations of teams. I’ve never seen anyone of Jo’s talent level and ilk receive this type of hate/disrespect. It’s something else. Look at these comments….

[–] Robinsonirish@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Really? You weren't around for LeBron and The Decision? 100 times worse than what people shitting on Embiid right now. Russell Westbrook got the exact same treatment as Embiid after he won his MVP on "empty stats". Harden=literally Hitler etc etc.

It's just flavour of the month. It is funny that Embiid campaigned for the MVP(not as much as people say he did, but he still did campaign for it a little), and then he got owned in the playoffs.

If this happened to Tatum you would be laughing your ass off right now. You're just sad about it because it's your team.

I'm not a Sixers fan. I'll give you this, I agree Embiid is way better than what /r/nba gives him credit for obviously. He 100% deserved his MVP, although it could have gone to either him, Jokic or Giannis. Jokic sat the last 6 out of 8 games which sealed the deal. People just seem to forget that.

But man... it's just fucking funny that he shat the bed in the playoffs. Don't take it so seriously. People will forget and move on to the next guy to clown on.

Embiid is easily the worst player in the league to watch. Acts tough and badass, talks so much shit then just get carried by the refs and ends up on the floor over half the game

[–] BigMik_PL@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Lmao hard disagree love watching the man play that middy J is so automatic and satisfying to watch.

[–] Islandkid679@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The middy J that got him 3/12 shooting? That one?

[–] BigMik_PL@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ah yes the preseason where all the trophies are won. You can hate all you want the second he gets traded to Wolves you gonna be deleting all these comments lmao.

Embiid is a beast there is no denying it, led the league in scoring two seasons in a row as a seven footer.

[–] LaMelgoatBall@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Satisfying to watch 2 middies out of 10 shot attempts that end in flops

[–] Ramu_1798@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Agreed. For some reason it is still tolerable to an extent when smaller players like Harden or Trae are doing it but for a 7ft 1 in MVP who's entire bball identity is how tough he is in post to bitch and moan to the refs for 42 min a night is disgusting to watch

[–] XLcondumb@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

LOVE watching free throws for a whole game

[–] LaMelgoatBall@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Glad I decided against going to the Garden for the Philly game and bought tickets to see us play the Thunder instead

[–] creamcitybrix@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tribute game to Harden

[–] bloodmuffins793@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Already in postseason form!

[–] JaylenBrownFlow@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

why do they give this asshole so many fts

[–] durmduke@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] TdotSkunt@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

JoElbow alway gets bailed out by the zebras. this pos leads endanger other players by falling on then and get bailed out with ft. smh do better refs

[–] Islandkid679@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Some things never change...

[–] giladg@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Are these MVP stats?
