Hi everyone,

So this is my collection and I am now feeling so deeply the power some watch brands have over me.

For instance, I feel I NEED the next watch to be a Rolex, even if I like some Tudor’s models more… Why am I so easily influenced, it’s scary.

I am not wearing anymore both the Hamilton and the Bulova, even if a few years back, when I bought them, I loved them so much.

I even believed the jazzmaster to be the perfect watch for me and that I wouldn’t have ever needed a second one (ahah).

Also, I’m the only one of my group of friends collecting, so nobody around me really understands any of my claptrap about this.

So, my question for you would be: what is your judgement on this collection so far and which model would you trade?

From the top right

  • Custom Casio with naked ladies
  • Omega speedmaster date
  • Vintage Omega De Ville
  • Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart
  • Bulova Accutron II
  • Cartier Santos Dumont
  • Cartier Tank Must black
  • Baume & Mercier Riviera
  • Maurice Lacroix Aikon
  • Gshock

Sell all of them except the Casio with naked ladies

[–] Prestigious_Pie1019@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Keep the speed master and the Cartier DuMont, sell the rest

[–] PlantSkyRun@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nice collection. Some of the watches are not personally my cup of tea, but you have a diverse collection with a nice range of watches.

You mention you are no longer in love with the Jazz master, so maybe get rid of that one. Or you can give up one of the Cartiers or the B&M two tone.

Thanks for sharing.

I think you've outgrown the need for a tacky open heart.

[–] RepulsiveIdea9274@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Whatever that one is on the top L needs to go stat.

Where did you get that custom Casio??? I fucking love it and want it

[–] msainville@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There is an artisan in Florence, Italy that makes watch covers in whatever metal you want depicting whatever scene you want

[–] TEEMO_OR_AFK@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Awesome, I was just there this summer! Hit us with a link, I might order one and pick it up next year :)

Between the Hamilton or bulova for me. Never been a fan of open heart watches and don’t think they age well. The rest of your collection is great, some lovely pieces.

[–] scryptbreaker@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Normally agree with this on openly displayed movement watches but the Accutrons always get a pass in my book because of the history. I just find them really interesting

[–] SunglassesAtNight92@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ye to be fair it’s much better looking than the Hamilton. The entire movement being exposed looks nicer.

[–] dante_patel@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Good taste overall.

[–] Cocainutella@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Oh man, Ive always loved the Accutron Alpha II. Sick sweep on the seconds hand.

[–] MortalPhantom@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean that casio has to go.

But also, what do yu think about the Aikon? Would you recommend it? I like it but think the retail price is too expesive for what it is

[–] msainville@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It is a bit overpriced cause it’s a limited edition or whatever but I really wanted a tiffany dial watch and this summer I wore it almost daily, I was very happy with the purchase

[–] PrivilegedCunt@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You should sell me that custom piece!

[–] Lorenzo_Von_@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Why plp hating on custom Casio, do they not get naked ladies? I personally love it

[–] a516359@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Hamilton or the Bulova for sure. But I think my taste’s a little different than yours.

That Hamilton is just fugly 😩

[–] Subject-Opposite-935@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I feel like this whole post was just a subtle flex on us throwing that Caliguloak up in the corner

[–] msainville@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ahaha caliguloak

[–] vawhitewater@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Whatever you do, just keep the Omega De Ville. That's a gorgeous watch.

[–] Electrical-Arm-1030@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It’s time for the naked ladies to go man.

[–] OG365247@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Get rid of the Hamiltonian, B&M and the ML. They add nothing to what is a nice collection of watches.

[–] benghengang@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] Bizzyzed@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Top left is ultimate chuffage

[–] santori9@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You definitely don't need a Rolex, your collection is nice.

[–] clarkeyjam02@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That B&M is stunning

[–] THUORN@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I would keep the 2 Omegas and the Santos. The rest I would get rid of. Except the Casio, that obviously belongs in a glass case, well lit, in the center of the living room.

[–] eckliptic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

To me its an easy choice to dump the Hamilton, Baume & Mercier, and the Maurice Lacroix

What Rolex are you think?

[–] msainville@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I really like the Cellini line, even if not very popular

[–] eckliptic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Definitely under appreciated. Great looking watch

[–] 69tt@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Man I love Hamilton as a brand but that watch isn’t doing it for me. The custom Casio on the other hand…

The Baume & Mercier needs to go. I’ll give you my address…

[–] iBurley@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Personally it would be the Casio with the naked ladies, but it sounds like that one's got personal meaning, so probably the Jazzmaster or Baume & Mecier.

[–] ogx2og@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Top left goes (what is that? Btw, the Accutron is a cool addition not a lot of people are familiar with. I have a 1965 tuning fork model that my father passed down to me and I'm still trying to find someone who can fix it

[–] doctapeppa@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Gshock.

[–] superbkdk@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Which sub is which anymore?

[–] juggdish@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Man, I was confused as I was zoomed in, then I realized I was on WCJ and chuckled. Then I zoomed out and realized I was not. What a ride.

Seeing a custom Casio with ladies next to an omega is the reason why I love this hobby

[–] traeceratops@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Keep 2, 5, 6, & 10 (left to right, top to bottom).

Sell and trade the other 6.

Get an amazing vintage Rolex if it has to be one.

[–] SeanPizzles@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sell everything but the Casio. Anything else is a waste of wrist time.

[–] Muggle71@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

For all the people looking for the watch with the naked ladies I found it is made by Cristian Fenzi

[–] JramSeiko6105@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If one must go.. I guess you can send me the speed master. I throw it in a junk drawer so it won’t take up space.

[–] Internal-Risk@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Tbh I’d move it all except the gold omega and Cartier

[–] datatadata@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

One of the Omegas

[–] peppersmatic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sell 2,5,8,9,10 buy the AP that you’re imitating and have a baller collection

[–] msainville@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I only want watches I can wear and buy again the next day in case they get stolen/broken. AP is still waaay out of budget

[–] TEEMO_OR_AFK@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Suuuper fun collection! I'd say keep all of them

[–] CulturalMachine6565@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Keep ‘em all and start a new box
