I kindly ask you to hand over that Zenith… stunning watch. Love the eterna too, have a 1960s Eterna KonTiki myself (on my profile). What about adding another vintage Chronograph as I only see one there? Something with an Excelsior Park or Valjoux movement?

Reading a few forums and going by the name, possibly made for a specific market cheap Swiss movement watch which is cashing in on the Longines similarity. There are brands with similar names out there like you said (Mathey Tissot and Tissot) but this seems more intentional.
Love the Ollech & Wajs, great varied collection.
Agree with you here. Definitely an old skin diver type watch, my guess would be a Saxony or Sheffield All Sport. I was thinking Sheffield in my head and this came up with my search and it’s from the same company.
Ye to be fair it’s much better looking than the Hamilton. The entire movement being exposed looks nicer.
Between the Hamilton or bulova for me. Never been a fan of open heart watches and don’t think they age well. The rest of your collection is great, some lovely pieces.
Always worth a try on local/national based selling websites too or FB marketplace.
They’ve got a lot of history but seems to have changed ownership quite a bit, I know grovana watches produced them for a while. They’re fairly non inspired industry standard designs for a decent price. Don’t love or hate them.
I would actually say TAG is more well known than omega. Hublot is getting up there too but you’re right, outside of those 3 + Rolex and maybe casio, they aren’t going to know what your watch is.
Almost every brand is unknown to non-watch people. Everyone has heard of rolex and maybe Casio. After that I would say TAG Heuer and maybe omega are known but that’s about it. If you’re buying watching for people to recognise, you’re doing it wrong. And unless you limit yourself to those brands they’ll never care.
A Maserati modena edition is a relatively (in the watch world) cheap watch. If you can afford to drive a Maserati, you can afford a better watch. So wearing it most certainly does not equate you to a Maserati driver.
