Probably one of the old Blancpain Leman Alarm GMTs. Track your home time, got an alarm. Good to go.

Wear it for a week and see how you feel. I wear a dress watch with t shirts and jeans all the time, but wouldn’t with workout pants. But we’re all going to have different lines.

If you want to tone down your watch’s formality, you could also put it on a suede or even a perlon strap (or stingray leather or a Hirsch premier leaf strap—lots of interesting options).

I work in among the most conservative industries in the world and have never heard of that. If that’s true, I’d consult a therapist rather than a watch sub.

Have you ever judged a colleague for wearing too nice a suit? Too expensive shoes? Too fancy a briefcase? If not, no one is judging your watch.

Don’t listen to these nerds, you should absolutely do this. Buy as many watches as you can with your credit cards!

I used to have a stack of these when I lived in Dubai. I was a couple blocks away from a mall with boutiques for the trinity, ALS, and every other brand down to Tissot—lots of options, and they were happy to hand them out. Now I wish I’d kept them, at the very least I could send them to you! They are great to flip though, for sure.

That was my first professional watch. Super iconic yet affordable. If you go this way, make sure you get one with a sapphire crystal.

Sell everything but the Casio. Anything else is a waste of wrist time.

They get no respect on Reddit, but the Movado Museum is by far the most iconic, recognizable watch between a basic Casio and Tag Heuer.
