The Patek 3796R. I'm more likely to acquire the ACTUAL Holy Grail in my lifetime.

A community for watch & horology discussion.
A Rolex Milgauss in blue…..and unless I got the lottery or get a huge inheritance, no, I’ll probably never get it. I just don’t have the kind of income to justify it.
A more attainable option would be a Fortis Marinemaster. Maybe as a retirement gift to myself.
Lange 1815 Rattrapante As a soon to be broke grad student, I don't think I can even get close to it for at least a couple decades, maybe more!
A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia automatic small seconds. $60k watch, most likely will never own one. At the affordable end my dream watch is a GS SLGA021 Lake Suwa. I may be able to afford that one when I retire lol.
It would be the LANGE Söhne grand complications and/or van Cleef midnight Planetarium. The LANGE Söhne, for all the technical details it has, and the van Cleef for the pure beauty, jewelery aspect of this watch.
Sadly I am winning the lottery likely to get them.
Royal oak panda. As far away as I can be.
Lange Datograph Perpetual Tourbillion …. Probably never. The only Lange watch I could probably afford if I make wise financial decisions is probably the Saxonia
JLC MUT Moon. Hope to get one next month!
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m in green. Basicaly 0% chance of getting it
Right now it's a Speedmaster moonwatch. But it's more like it's part of a grail collection. Cartier Santos, Hamilton Ventura, Grand Seiko spring drive, Seiko Alpinist.
Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked.
Not likely at all. I doubt I'll ever have spent enough at the boutique to have a shot, or have the roughly $140k in disposable income to buy it on the gray market.
I would love to get my hands on the white snoopy speedmaster.
There's no way I'm getting that watch ever. Between the fact that nobody wants to sell it and the price tag, many things have to align for me to get my hands on one.
we talking grails? vc overseas skeleton in pink gold.
The Rolex Pepsi has always been on my mind ever since I saw my father wear a fake one when I was a kid
Ever thought about the Tudor? I love the white dial version and it's a hell of a lot more attractive from a value standpoint
Had a black bay, but they’re to thick for me. Currently have an OP and are waiting for a sub, so I’ll keep myself distracted while waiting for the day to come😂
I want a Speedmaster and I'm planning on getting in next year. Then it's a Black Bay or Aqua Terra
I loved the 1960's Bulova Accutron Spaceview. A bit of alcohol, bidding frenzy and "wtf have I done" later, I got one. Had it a few years now, love it to bits.
1969 Omega Seamaster 120m Blue diver. 166.088
As with all grails, here's a whole story behind why.
Bit of a nomos fan, love the simple form and function.
I’m secretly in love with the new “muted red metro 33”
I will never be able to afford any of their watches. But I am on their site about once a month dreaming.
Right now, my target watch is the same as yours. Hoping to get it next year.
Tag heuer professional 2000, with this strap. I have a similar version, but that is what I'm looking
Rainbow daytona. Probably won’t happen.
Right now I’m waiting to hear about the Omega summer blue Seamaster Aqua Tera 150 from CD Peacock. They had one during an event and now they have nothing 🙄 so sounds like I won’t be getting it
- I think they’re amazing. I didn’t know when I was looking for the first time it was the John Mayer. I’m in my 30s so wouldn’t spend 100k on a watch as I’m still sorting out retirement and Porsches and planes but maybe when I’m 50+ I’ll grab it
I've got quite a few grails that I love but zero % of getting any of them unless I sell most of the (loads) watches I own. None of them expensive.
Pelagos 39
Cartier santos medium: I’d say pretty likely. I can definitely get it if I prioritize it in the future
Vintage electric Hamilton Ventura, cal. 500 from when they were American made. I know I could go get one of the modern Swiss-made ones in auto or quartz. Not the same to me, though.
That or something from Jon of York.
Grail watch, the Krayon Anywhere Only Watch 2021 edition.
How likely am I to get it? Not at all, not in this lifetime. It’s nice to want though! A beautiful watch with a mind boggling complication. Haven’t seen a single watch that’s more beautiful, in my opinion
Mine I can’t remember the real name of, but it’s the watch Pussy Bonpensiero wears on the sopranos. A gold watch with a red dial, rolex. Upwards of about 200gs and they don’t make em anymore. If anyone can name it that would be great.
The original 36mm Heuer skipper from 1968 for many reasons. Insanely expensive and maybe only 20 were made. Insanely expensive. Im hoping for a good homage one day that's true to the original
I always wanted a Rolex Daytona. But the more time goes on the more I think it’s doing too much and looks a bit tacky
Unrealistic Grail: Lange 1 Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon. Chance: 0% I will ever own this watch.
Realistic Grail: IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar.
Vacheron Constantin solid gold overseas. I might be able to barely afford it one day, but I think I'd rather spend that money on several other things first unless I become a billionaire
The Seiko Alpinist GMT limited. Probably very high if I can find one. I’ve always wanted an Alpinist and don’t have a GMT so it checks my boxes.
Patek calatrava for me
JLC Master Control Calendar. I think it looks so classy, but I will never spend that on a watch.
A green dial Grand seiko with the 44GS case or a Rolex Explorer 1. Once I finish my degree, I don't think it'd be hard to afford one but it's definitely hard for me to justify spending multiple thousands on any watch. Especially when fakes are getting really hard to distinguish from the real deal.
Sinn hunting watch. I love the moon complication that shows when the moon is at its brightest.
VC overseas blue
