Which players will breakout? Disappoint?

Which team will surprise? Disappoint?

Who will win the chip?

Mine:

Tyler Herro averages 25 PPG and lead the heat to a top 3 seed in the East.

Scottie Barnes will breakout with averages of 20/7/7.

Lakers will finish as 6 seed or lower due to injuries again.

Suns will win the chip.

Zion gets on Ozempic and loses 50lbs.

I want this timeline

Rockets will have a top 10 defense but a 20-25 ranked offense

[–] usmarine7041@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Breakout: Pritchard will be a dark horse for Most Improved and Sixth Man!

Disappointed: Embiid. Is no longer being pushed by wanting the MVP, will have a slightly worse team around him. Except his stats to suffer as Maxey improves his numbers.

Chip: probably the Nuggets tbh

The new all nba rules usher in a new era where most rational fans realize we cannot weigh all nba selections in the future as much as ones in the past (overall, not each one individually)

Worse players relative to the rest of the league will start winning a lot of them, muddying up the prestige of the award and also giving worse players super maxes. Those worse players getting super maxes will start weighing down teams and you’ll see people start to complain about the rule ruining things for small markets who feel like they have to give out bad giant contracts to players who don’t deserve them or lose them

Brandon Miller is this season’s Keegan Murray, he’s not going put up big box score numbers like other rookies but he’s going to an efficient 3 and D while helping the Hornets back into the postseason.

The Knicks will drop to a 7 or below seed in the East. They can still make the playoffs and give a team a run for their money but I won’t count on them going higher than 7 this year in the East

I have the same prediction for the 76ers.

Warriors over Celtics Part 2.

Everybody makes Tatum two dad memes with Jimmy and Steph.

CP3 gets his ring and retires.

Klay goes back to China with 5 rings in the off-season like he said he would.

- Chet has a better season than Wemby

- Wendell Carter Jr. and Franz Wagner will both be All Stars this season

The Germany flair explains a lot

[–] WheresMyFalafelYo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't think I'm ready for a world where the Magic have 2 All Stars AND Paulo.

Won't matter though, because Jonathan Isaac put a voodoo hex on them by being the loudest ultra conservative evangelical conspiracy theorist known to man.

[–] Betaateb@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

by being the loudest ultra conservative evangelical conspiracy theorist known to man.

That has to be Alex Jones right? Isaac can be #2 but Jones is the GOAT loudest ultra conservative wack job.

The Jrue Holiday take just shows your lack of knowledge when it comes to basketball

[–] jtruth9@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Warriors will be the 2 seed.

[–] BloomyGear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Furkan Korkmaz demanding trade for the 4th time in 5 years and Sixers just keeping him as indentured servant anyways

[–] WheresMyFalafelYo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sir. That's not a hot take. That's just an inevability.

[–] HerskyB@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Miami misses playoffs

[–] SaltyTraeYoungStan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hawks will win 48+ games this season

[–] lost_in_trepidation@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hawks being really good was going to be my hot take, but so many media personalities are already on the Hawks bandwagon.

[–] SaltyTraeYoungStan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Love to see it

[–] Efficient_Art_1144@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Marcus Morris cheap shots Wemby

Russell Westbrook eats a basketball

[–] RVAIsTheGreatest@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

LeBron James or Anthony Davis will win the MVP Award.

[–] Daconvix@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nuggets don’t make the conference finals

The Heat don’t have a miraculous playoff run this year and get bounced in round one

[–] RandomStranger79@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Jazz and Wolves will make the playoffs.

Lakers will try to trade for Mitchell when they're underperforming early on.

[–] theglicky@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Grizzlies make the playoffs

[–] Oz_werty@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The Pacers will make the playoff

[–] PaulMcPaulersn7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I like that first prediction
