Question for anyone who has watched both of them play? I was talking to one of my friends who is a bulls fans and he thinks the two have similar upside and career achievement to this point? I'm a Kuminga believer but wondering if anyone who has watched the two of them could compare play styles, upside, etc.

r/NBA is down on Kuminga (despite having an insane preseason) so I'm going to guess they go Williams here.

Kuminga is certainly the more dynamic, more fluid, more explosive athlete. For me that the biggest difference between the two and that's what separates them as prospects....PWill hasn't shown the kind of creation ability Kuminga has either.

p will is regulated to the corner because he plays with derozen (black hole offensively) and when he does get those opportunities he’s shown those flashes he just cant do it often because he lacks a strong handle he’s definitely shown the ability in spurts he’ll just never get the opportunity here

Prefer Kuminga he has much better tools to where he doesn’t need as much skill as PWill. Also younger

I'll take Patrick Williams and I don't even know who he is

Pat Williams just seems too passive to me. I'd guess Williams tops out as a decent starter, 4th best player on a playoff team type, say worth 23-24M a year in current value, while Kuminga ends up as a #3 on a playoff team type, say worth 30M a year in current value.

Both are names I would think when I hear “young talented prospect teams would want to receive when trading a superstar”

Kuminga is better offensively, Pat is better defensively. Kuminga probably has higher upside if he can put it together.

They both play basketball in the NBA.
