Not that Chicago would trade all these players, just hypothetically what would be the best landing spots for each of these players based on fit?

Jazz could really use a guy like Derozan.

[–] McWhorter44@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Derozan : Magic, think he would help out Paolo and Franz quite a bit

Lavine : Nets, no team deserves a starting Dinwiddie

Vucevic : Cavs, need some spacing next to Mobley

I put 25 seconds of thinking into this , so it’s probably dumb

Eh we need a 3 and D guy at the two spot who wont take shots away from Paolo and Franz. We might try to groom Jett Howard into that.

Caruso is lowkey more interesting for contenders for his relatively cheap contract and his plug-and-play role/playstyle.

I’m sure we can be outbid, but Little and a bunch of bad 2nds? Lol

Demar to the Lakers for DLO

Give Vuc to the warriors, they badly need a big and inside presence.

Give DeRozan to the Rockets, them kids need a vet with reliable offense. Don't think they be having much success though.

Give Lavine to the Kings, fits their playstyle and can provide additional manpower from the 3 point line.

Vuc is too pricey for Dubs. Drummond tho would fit nicely with his tiny cap Hit.

Lavine to the sixers for James Harden

[–] Angelskilldemons@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

For some reason Bulls fans hate this idea but Harden’s on an expiring so you get off his deal if it doesn’t work out. I would do it. This team has been going NOWHERE for too long and unfortunately a lot of Bulls fans are ok with mediocrity. It’s hard to even call myself a Bulls fan anymore because i just don’t have it in me to root for whatever tf they’ve been doing the last 6-7 years

The bad far outweighs the good. Why would the bulls fans want to give anything in our current roster for someone who's created so much negativity around themselves. James Harden isn't a good roll model, leader, or teammate and in all honesty the only reason people think hes great was from him being the only option on a rebuilding team.

Was thinking and gonna tweet exactly what u/BBallHunter did. It's a little difficult, particularly with LaVine and DeRozan, to envision exactly what the best fit and best situation would be for both team and player. I do think Miami would get the most out of DeMar but then you have to factor in the fact his game and Butler's game are pretty duplicative.

I think LaVine would be productive in Philly but Maxey+LaVine on paper is a bit of a peculiar fit as neither are true playmakers and are at their best on the ball. I can imagine DeMar being pretty good in Minnesota in a KAT swap but the Bulls would surely be looking at a different option if they do decide to pull the plug on their core.

Not easy to pin down the best fit for either. DeMar I think would fit in Dallas pretty well and LaVine in New Orleans. However, Caruso is a guy who fits anywhere. Coby White is the kind of guy who has a malleable skill set too. Torrey Craig is a guy who many teams would love to pick up. Vooch's skill set is also pretty malleable but the question with him is how much of an upgrade would he be to the centers already on board when you look up and down at playoff rosters throughout the league.

Caruso to Denver

Derozan to Philly

Lavine to Miami

[–] Camctrail@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Preferably not on my house. Don't feel like cleaning them up

[–] LennonWaK@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

How many times can one team blow it up in 10 years? Lonzo Ball must really be the fucking GOAT if we can't retool this stupid shit.

[–] tomhalejr@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Vuc is the most "interchangeable", due to the contract and position. Any team looking to just move/swap a big, that has a player of that type/contract, can return a place-holder. MEM with Big Kiwi out for the year as an example. CHI wouldn't have a starting big, but if they blow it up and tank to keep the FRP, you're not worried about the rest of this season.

DeMar, a "win now" team, that has no options to sign/re-sign players outside of Bird rights. Any of those top tier tax/double tax teams are going to be in that situation moving forward. GSW and LAC in particular might "have to" do some things before the TD to get ahead of the new CBA rules that kick in next year.

Zach, a younger team that needs shooting/scoring, and has plenty of room for the contract. Not saying there's interest with any of these teams, but Zach might fit into a DET/ORL timeline... Still able to stay under the tax for years until youngun's contracts come up, and by then Zach will be expiring or just about, if it doesn't work out.

Lavine & DeRozan to Bkn for Simmons, Dinwiddie and picks

Lavine, Bridges, Derozan, Johnson, Claxton with Thomas, O'neal, DFS off the bench.

[–] Sofialovesmonkeys@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

DeRozan to the Spurs. We need him so badly for so many different reasons its not even funny.

[–] 2020IsANightmare@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If there any legit reason for Chicago to not blow it all up?!?

They are in the WORST situation an NBA team can be in. Old, expensive and in no way a threat to do anything important. May fail to even make the playoffs. No young players worth a shit.

[–] Clwhit12@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

DeRozen to the Clips, Lavine to Miami and Vuc to the Pels

[–] Buffylvr@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Vuc would be Memphis given their Stephen Adam’s issues if they don’t want to punt on the season.

Derozen to Orlando gives them an offensive hub if they want to bring some order to what they are doing, otherwise the lakers.

Lavine to charlotte makes them more relevant and matches new owner syndrome.

Caruso to almost everyone but Sacramento would be awesome.

Patrick Williams to ???? I dunno buncha good bigs right now
