LMAO!!!

If not for the Bulls, Toronto would have to be the funniest team in the league.

I want to include Game 5 of the 2004 NBA Finals, but that was a multiple-game disaster that derailed a franchise.

OKC losing Game 7 against GS after blowing the 3-1 lead certainly ranks up there.

Blazers blowing Game 7 vs the Lakers.

And I'm cheating with this answer as they won the game, but a singular game in NBA history that didn't involve an on-court injury possibly changing at least parts of the course of the league?

Pistons won it all that year. And Indy was, at least IMO, a better team. With a YOUNG team (outside of Reggie.)

No.

And we can stop pretending like every player is switching teams every year?

I know LeBron was the first player to ever switch teams, but he's going to get his jersey retired by THREE teams.

"The last known 3-pointer made by AD was on 10/29 against the Sacramento Kings"

Ya never know with all those games the Lakers play in different galaxies

To put Wilt's boards record into context, someone would have to play all 82 games and average 10 boards a game for 29 years. And still need a few more boards.

Stockton played 19 seasons and averaged 80 games a year.

I don't think the blocks record gets beaten either just due to the evolution of the game. More and more bigs are playing around the perimeter. Which means more and more defenders are being moved away from the paint.

Not a Wemby hater at all. Seems to have all the potential in the world.

All I am saying is that before and even after the draft, I just kept pointing out that he WAS NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE to being the most hyped prospect ever. Pure absurdity if you are old enough to remember LeBron's hype.

And I remember national sports publications asking if Wemby could lead the Spurs to the playoffs this season. Kept pointing out that the Spurs are AWFUL and may - outside of Wemby - have the worst roster in the league. Fast forward to today. The Pistons are 2-16 and have lost 15 straight. People are starting to wonder if they have the potential to finish with the worst record ever.

The Spurs have won more win.

It is very possible to be excited about a young player and want to see what be becomes while also not just losing your damn mind.

I've been saying this.

Reading comments about the Pistons "tanking."

They aren't "tanking." They just fucking suck. Arguably the worst front office in the league. With all due disrespect to the Bulls and Hornets.

Just need to see what he does from here on out.

It is always so interesting to see such topics (not just about Jokic, but players in general.)

Because Bron is (so oddly) one of the most criticized stars ever. You are asking about Jokic's ALL-TIME CENTER RANKING as Joker now has 2 RSMVPs, 1 FMVP, 1 title and 1 Finals appearance.

Bron has 4 RSMVPs, 4 FMVPs, 4 titles, 10 Finals appearances and casually set the all-time scoring record despite scoring never being his greatest skill.

People are being too judgmental.

Since the world is flat, Irving's dumbass couldn't stand up straight.

"If you’re still struggling to understand how tournaments with groups work, play some FIFA or watch any sport outside of America."

I have no desire to play FIFA or watch fucking cricket or whatever. If I did, I would have already been doing so.

The issue with the tournament is just the latest example of Silver doing what he does: Changing things for the fuck of it to draw an audience that....isn't going to watch anyway. The courts are headache inducing. No team worth a fuck is going to risk their title aspirations to win a November game.

Players and the admin for official social media accounts are of course given their talking points, but is a SINGLE SOUL that wasn't ALREADY GOING TO WATCH ANYWAY really tuning into the Kings vs Pelicans or Celtics vs Pacers next week?!?

I'm not numb to them, per se.

But, I've been pointing these things for years.

"LeBron struggled tonight. Only had 24/12/10 as the Cavs/Lakers lost."

And I am SCREAMING that the statline would be a CAREER HEADLINE for 99% of the players to ever live!!!!!!!!!!!!

[–] 2020IsANightmare@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

"Superteam" has to be the dumbest phrase to ever exist in the NBA lexicon.

The only true "superteam" I've seen in my lifetime is KD joining the 73-win Warriors.

The obvious answers are the Wolves and Magic.

And it's even crazier - to me - that people don't grasp this:

IT'S STILL FUCKING NOVEMBER.

There's still three more nights (tonight included) on the schedule before it's even fucking December!!!!!!

Both teams may end up in the Finals. I'll shit in my hand and eat it if that's the Finals matchup, but we'll see what happens.

I'd be shocked if either team wins a first-round playoff series than anything.

And that's fine. MIN has a legit franchise player in ANT. ORL has a lot of fantastic young talent. Building blocks.

I just think it's a tad premature to compare either team to the 96 Bulls or 15 Warriors.

The NBA is doing the thing again where they try to tell players they can't request trades, try to tell franchises when they can rest players, etc.

It's all silly stuff that people who actually watch the NBA don't care about, but if the league is going to go that route, then....

How can the league also allow teams to make trades for players that they have NO intention of ever putting on the court? CP3 and Jrue are a couple recent examples. Russ last season.

If the new rules/guidelines are about things like "integrity," then what if every team that trades for a player has to fully pay the rest of the season's salary for the player and have that entire salary count against the cap?
