I'm not a mod here, but I'll allow memes from The Orville. It's fully a spiritual successor to TNG in my opinion.

This is Risa. We have Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Firefly, and Orville memes. Today we've also got LOTR memes. Basically we like everything.

So many franchises come and visit Risa, guess it just goes to show we are the ULTIMATE pleasure planet

Love that Farscape got brought into it, but long to find some folks who can appreciate really obscure memes from

Space 1999

and The Starlost

Can you believe both John Collicos and Barry Morse in an absolutely appalling episode with script credited to Ursula LeGuin ‘The Godess Calabra.’

I've yet to see a Lexx meme. I'm not complaining, just commenting

As I said, not complaining. Lexx was a bit horny for my tastes, and that's saying something.

Congratulations Mr. PoopyButthole you have done something to the bar. I'm not sure if you raised or lowered it. Maybe you greased it.

I'm gonna get real nuts some day and do a Space: Above & Beyond or Earth 2 meme. Maybe even SeaQuest. IDGAF

Maybe you understand but where does "risa" come from? I googled and it said it's a place from star Trek Discovery. Why was it picked for this community name?

[–] teft@startrek.website 15 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

It’s a pleasure planet where anything goes in Star Trek. The community here is technically for Star Trek shitposting but we’re all a bunch of borg and tend to assimilate all memes so it can get a little silly sometimes.

In the same way Galaxy Quest counts as a Star Trek, so too should The Orville. It's all about the vibes, man.

"You shall be avenged" is right up there with the best of trek quotes

What a savings!

[–] armus@startrek.website 31 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Orville stands as a quality star trek series IMO

[–] Blamemeta@lemm.ee 7 points 2 years ago

Better Trek than a lot of actual Trek.

[–] xusontha@ls.buckodr.ink 11 points 2 years ago

It really is great

Got to show you, even an admiral is right once in a while.

[–] xusontha@ls.buckodr.ink 13 points 2 years ago

What do you mean? Admiral Patrick is ALWAYS right!

that's a stupid question

[–] Hobbes@startrek.website 1 points 2 years ago

This was the best 20 seconds of any of them.

[–] lugal@sopuli.xyz 22 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I will cut off your leg for that. Not to punish you, I'm not mad at you, but just as a joke.

Not a coincedence.

I got Star Trek credit for having watched The Orville a little while ago. I think you're fine.
