What would the trade look like if this was to happen? One of DeRozan or Lavine would land in Philly

Chicago trading for Harden only for Harden to continue to throw fits and refuse to play unless he's traded again is remarkably on brand.

Derozan and Embiid in the playoffs sounds like a first round sweep

[–] UnearthlyDinosaur@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

DeFrozen is a big reason why Lebron has so many finals appearances

[–] cactusmaster69420@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They'd go 71-11 then lose in the first round

[–] PhysZhongli@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

warriors pls trade klay for harden. I want to see steph with his 2 sons

[–] IntrnetHteMchne@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

there were rumors all summer that lavine was being shopped. i think it would be bizarre for the bulls but there's some smoke

[–] agk927@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Why are the bulls this? Lol. It's very clear they should tear it all down and go into a rebuild. I feel like Harden could do wonders for the rockets right now

[–] ayeno@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Bulls get Harden to get out of Lavines contract?

[–] SmokimNoah@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If they did this then we should get relocated to Seattle by December

[–] AnselLovesNuts@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Harden is on an expiring deal

[–] xpillindaass@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

if the bulls are gonna make a trade why would they not just blow it up

[–] thesch@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think this would be step 1 in blowing it up. Getting Harden would probably mean getting rid of Lavine, and it's easier for the Bulls to get out of Harden's contract (which is expiring at the end of the year) than Lavine's (which goes until '27). I don't think they'd be getting Harden with the idea that he's going to make the Bulls contenders.

The Bulls are embarrassing inept. They spent the last two years telling us important it is to have continuity and let’s run it back type of shit. 1 game into the season, there’s a player only meeting, too many isos, ball hogging, not enough 3s, and worst fucking of all they need a fucking PG (Alonzo’s been out forever, figure that shit out AKME). Fuck me!

[–] super_sayanything@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

This team needs Lonzo and isn't getting him. Might as well do something to make the year interesting before another rebuild.

[–] morbidwhaler@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If its possible w draft capital alone. Harden brings everything lonzo brought but better, offensively. Not the same defensive presence but could make that team click once again!

[–] collect_my_corpse@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The rebuild is what would make this year interesting. As is Best case scenario for this season is that Mil let’s us a win a game instead of sweeping us in the first round. That’s the absolute best that can happen.

Agree with everything except 3pa. We took 42 which is plenty. Just shot poorly

[–] Splashy17@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

If we could swap Deebo 1 for 1 for James, it'd be a great move. I don't think that's realistic at all though.

[–] Fala7iKing@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Dont think the 49ers would do that /s

[–] Quick_Recognition259@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Despicable usage of the /s tag

[–] Wtfitzchris@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

49ers might go for it. I don’t think Harden would catch many passes, but he would probably be pretty good at drawing pass interference calls.

[–] seanconnery69696@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

6'5", elite at vision, stepping back, and drawing fouls. He'd be a decent qb too.

[–] NegativesPositives@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I want to see it just for Demar and Joel to be calling for the ball in the same spot

[–] zrizzoz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Youre thinking about this wrong. Embiid will be standing on DeRozans head. His elbow jumper is now truly unstoppable.

[–] zrizzoz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This must be the "escalation" Jim Gordon was worried about in the final scene of Batman Begins

[–] Louis-grabbing-pills@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just cut his whiny fatass and let him play in Shanghai.

[–] dkdoki@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Morey: im going to need 2 1sts along with Demar

Harden showing up to the United center in a fat vest stuffed with grenades if he gets traded to the Bulls

[–] Cantguard-mike@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bovada 🤣🤣🤣

[–] NovaxRangerx@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Demar is probably the most realistic ‘star’ that will likely be available who doesn’t have a long term contract. Getting him would keep Morey’s cap space dream alive and provide the star level talent he wants in return for Harden. And if the Bulls don’t wanna extend Demar getting Harden and having a full 5 out offensive system makes ALOT of sense in the short term

[–] Sweatytubesock@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jim for Vuc. Make it happen.

[–] SpeclorTheGreat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Why are the Bulls so reluctant to just blow it all up? They're not going anywhere with the current construction of their team, and acquiring James Harden is not making them a contender. Just blow it up this year and tank for Flagg next year.

[–] Gyshall669@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Because we were the worst, second worst team in the nba for like 4 seasons. We tanked and we were fucking awful at it lol

[–] -vinay@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Because they haven’t been great at tanking either. Before the arrival of Lonzo and DeMar they were in the lottery and picked the following players:

  • Patrick Williams
  • Coby White
  • Wendell Carter Jr

Out of the three, the best is probably WCJ and he’s not even on the team anymore. Y’all just can’t assume that every rebuild is like OKC or the Spurs. It just doesn’t happen. Sometimes you end up like the Rockets

[–] thegodfaubel@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don't know if the strip club scene is quite what he's looking for but okay

[–] I_Voted_For_Kodos24@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Harden is FA after this season. Why would the Bulls do this? The Bulls have excellent trade pieces. Derozan could be the last piece for so many contenders; Lavine is locked up and could help teams that are already good or good-ish (Knicks, lakers, etc); Vucevic is on a very fair deal and there's 2 additional years of control at that fair price; Caruso is a steal at $9M this year and next; Patrick Williams could be a deadline deal; Ayo could be helpful to shore up depth on a playoff team and is affordable. 7-8 months of pouty Harden... why would anyone do that? The Bulls front office can be kinda dumb, but it's not dumb in this particular way.

The Bulls will instead allow the value of its current trade assets to deteriorate until its too late to cash in on blowing it up. In fact, they won't blow it up, they'll watch it wither and die and decry the bad luck of their own making.

The Bulls will not trade for James Harden.

[–] Davin998@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s be great to have a Jersey from Bulls legend James Harden.

I’m tired. Just blow it up

[–] Difficult_E@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

fucking how. Because last i heard, Morey wants a haul and the Bulls FO would have brain rot if they gave up even a single pick. If they trade anyone on this roster, it’s to blow it up and prepare for the future.

[–] thebranbran@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If we were to trade for Harden I feel like Morey’s asking price would be too high. He’s not worth trading Lavine plus multiple picks away for or even just Lavine tbh cause the point would be to bring him in to play with him. As much as I like Demar, he should be the one that goes.

I want to see the Bulls ride it out for a month or so before they make a trade. They looked bad in game 1 but that’s still just 1 game. I’m not saying they are going to bounce back but I’ll hold my criticism for atleast 10 games.

[–] Franklo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Aren't maxey and DeRozan the same type of player?

[–] ShowdownValue@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How do casinos always get the inside info?

Do they pay bulls and sixer personnel for all their secrets? I mean, what do these people get for giving up the details?

[–] Neltrix@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Heat aren’t? Pop the bottles boys 🍾

[–] yonosetr3s@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Now we're talking

[–] Laykers@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Just end this James harden hell already

[–] Weak-Boysenberry3807@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lmfao if this is true

[–] StewartTurkeylink@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Who the fuck is BovadaOffical and why should I care?

[–] ReallyBrainDead@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My guess is a first rounder plus the fresh corpse of Lonzo Ball. Hey, there's bound to be some great strip clubs in Chi-town!

[–] FeedMeThat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

As a fan of both teams I don’t know how to feel about this. Part of me hopes they can find a trade that helps both teams, but I just know they’re gonna find a way to make them even worse. It’s in their blood
