A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I don't think it will be exactly that, but you can "enrol" in r/photoclass.

I run a 52 week challenge which gives 4-5 prompts a month which can be done at your own pace in the given month. We have a sub (/r/clondon52), but I've moved it to our discord mostly, which is much more active. Here's the link to the discord.

You can also just read the prompts and do it on your own. Here's this year's set of prompts so far

i didn't learn that way... but i suppose your way is an option

i bought some books on photography basics and read a few pages... then went and used what i learned with my camera

Read this if you want to take great photographs by Carroll is pretty good

Stunning digital photography by Northrup is actually much better but longer
