A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I’m going to pick up Adobe Photoshop skills from YouTube, where there are numerous videos and comprehensive courses. I’m wondering about the best approach to remember what I learn. I know that revisiting and repeating lessons is crucial, but when should I do this? How do you personally ensure that you can apply your knowledge effectively when the need arises?

You learn the tools you really use. Everything else you just learn about.

Doing it over and over. There is also a search function. Honestly I watch YouTube videos all the time and sometimes I have to follow the same one multiple times and reference it again later. There’s no need to remember everything.

Practice. Practice. Practice. Use it or lose it.
