Idk why I get so bent out of shape when former players act this way to the new generation. This is some immature high school BS from Smith

What's your opinion?

He can retract all he wants, but he very clearly meant what he said.

Smells like bitch in here.

[–] zirtbow@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That's just JAG smell. Some WR's these days are JAGs and can't even hope to be a #1 ninja.

steve talks shit on jerry.

later, steve tries to approach jerry and jerry wants nothing to do with him

steve somehow finds offense in this and goes on one of the most insecure and unnecessary rants on jerry.

steves a weasel. and most of this sub ate that shit up. it was weak.

dont talk shit on a man and expect him to show you love tf?

His rant was eaten up because it was hilarious, and not necessarily because people were agreeing with Steve. The way he said “ninja” even his broadcast partner was laughing at him.

I don’t think Steve was right because his comments were very aggressive for supposedly offering “constructive criticism”.

At the same time, Phillip Lindsay had just a week prior actually offered constructive criticism without even specifically calling anyone out by name on denver and Jerry jeudy still acted like a sensitive puss about it so really this is just a case of 2 ppl that are both kinda insufferable.

He's 44 yrs old he definitely went too far. Glad he's mature enough to apologize

[–] theardentpathos@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Jeudy goes week in week out trying to prove himself and earn a livelihood while Smith picks beef from afar in his cushy job and, being retired and his legacy cemented, stands at no personal risk.

[–] Amon_Ra_Yo_Mama@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Poor Jeudy is scrapping out a living week to week.

[–] theardentpathos@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

One of these guys has something at stake (contract), and the other does not.

"I apologize for shredding Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy on NFL Network.

I should have done it during halftime of an NBC game."

[–] CinderellaManX@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If you don’t want your commentators criticism players, don’t hire the biggest trash talkers in the league to be a voice for your network.

Steve Smith is just NFL Shaq. Old former player who hates on every young player due to insecurity.

[–] ItsFridayBabyFUCK@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lol what the fuck are you talking about? Have you ever watched anything Shaq does on TV?

[–] freephilly23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nah in Steve’s off-season breakdowns he gives praise where it’s due, and does a really good job breaking down WR film. What is there to heap praise on Juedy for since being drafted?

[–] lucabrasi777@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Average eagles fan intelligence level 💀💀

[–] Eggdripp@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My problem with this is Smith only went in on him like he did because Jeudy didn't accept his "apology". Like Jeudy owes him shit. And then instead of confronting him or letting it be he went on national TV to shit on a guy over personal beef like a clown

[–] Silversaving@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Funny part was Jeudy and Smith have almost identical numbers through the same amount of games into their career. Smith calling him shit was basically Smith calling himself the same.

[–] Caol_ila_ftw@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Two things…

  1. Smith wasn’t a 1st round pick

  2. While Jeudy slightly outpaces him as a receiver, Smith had double the TDs due to his contributions in the return game. He also had an all-pro selection

[–] Ron_Cherry@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That "kinda" negates Steve Smith's contributions in the return game his first couple years and the fact that he had one of the most dominating postseasons by a WR ever in his 3rd season on a team that ran the ball more than it passed

[–] stay-at-homie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My opinion is it’s incredibly lame to care about this.

[–] ShakeMyHeadSadly@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The only problem is that Smith was right. Jeudy is 'JAG'.

[–] Vast_Examination_600@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My problem with Smith was that he was acting like a tattletale. He aired his private conversation with Jeudy. Roast a player if you want but sharing your private conversation on national TV is some TMZ shit. He clearly just wants attention and he got it.

[–] Fuzzy_Bid_2710@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

should've never apologized. talk your shit and keep it moving

[–] BucksFan654@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If y’all actually read the apology you’d see its not an apology

[–] Whole_Issue386@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Smith is such a stud, so much respect for that dude! Classy move by him but he was being a 100%..no need to apologize for speaking truth.
