Any NFC north fans know that Lambeau and Soldier field have horrendous field conditions as soon as the weather starts to turn.

Without a doubt, before any game at either of these stadiums when the weather gets into the 30’s, it’s a media talking point about coaches reminding players to wear proper footwear.

There is little doubt that Cousins was wearing 7 stud cleats to avoid slipping and boom, same outcome as Rodgers on turf, foot catches in the surface and achilles pops.

So what is the solution here? Is the problem turf? Bad natural surfaces?

Or, is football just a sport where injuries are going to happen and this turf/grass debate is completely overblown.
