He looked phenomenal in his first start and I was really high on him during the draft. Seemed to have all the tools, but for some reason, he was just annihilated by the media, mostly for stupid stuff like mayonnaise or something. There seemed to be an almost vicious hatred for the guy largely on Twitter. Can someone explain? I swear on draft night, they cut to his face every time somebody was picked over him, like they just wanted to humiliate him.

He looked great, but relax. It's one game. He could end up looking like Mac Jones for all we know

They hate mayo

Sample size dude. Sample size.

He may end up great, but let's wait and see a bit eh?

You say the mayo thing was stupid stuff, I say it is a flaw remarkable enough to claim he has not met the threshold for humanhood.

The grocery store incident is the biggest reason his draft stock tanked

Big milk trying to put the little man down for speaking up

He wasn’t annihilated by the media who consistently had him in the top 5 discussion leading up to the draft. He was annihilated by armchair scouts here and on Twitter.

No idea about the other stuff but I get the feeling the reason they showed him so much during the draft was because of the young lady he was with.

He’s too hood

Probs the banana thing

I mean he had real concerns after his last year. I don't think anything was too unwarranted

probably because he played really badly as a senior

I mean the mayo in coffee thing was pretty fucking weird

Semi-pedestrian stats and his team was not great in 2022. Almost the anti-Zach Wilson in that he was seen as all arm talent and maybe the media wasn't as eager to jump on a guy for traits like they were Wilson coming out of BYU.

Don't you hate pants?

He went to Catholic school.

Because they hate Reddit and someone on Reddit said he was going to go #1 overall. They can’t stand when they get scooped by a random Redditor.

He was playing injured his final year and didn't play very well compared to his previous season. He got dinged pretty hard for that

Certain narratives that the media want to push.

GMs were saying the interview process played a big part of the decision on why he fell. However, Young got shit on for his size and CJ was called unintelligent. So you can’t really say Levis’ treatment was unfair. You can find bad reports on every draft pick because that’s how teams get players to drop to them.

Idrk what you’re talking about, he was mocked in the first most places so on draft night the broadcast kept focusing on the fact he was still in the green room, same as they did w Rogers years ago. He also did some weird shit and had a hot gf, both increasing the media attention on him. There was also a rumor right before the draft he’d go #1. Then he got picked second in the second round. There was no hit job and he didn’t suffer some huge tumble. As to why other people got picked before him idk maybe cus he had a big arm but lacked polish and played at Kentucky? He was still the fourth QB taken and the 33rd overall pick.
