My SO and me loved this story and have adopted calling each other with the flock call "Trevor"

That was a hilarious story, thank you!
Not sure if it counts as it's not really a pet name, but when one of us is looking for the other, we make dinosaur noises. The query has an upward inflection ("raahhhh?") and the response has a downward inflection ("rahh!").
At first it was just around the house. Now it's in public too.
We "caw" like crows, but haven't evolved to do it in public yet hahaha
I meow to find my husband and he will meow back.
That is awesome!
Draakje, which is Dutch for tiny dragon. Because she is cute and feisty. And can, when in dire straits, kick open a sturdy locked door.
I like this! How is it pronounced phonetically?
I tried to figure it out but I am not smart enough to figure out the phonetic alphabet. But basically drrr then a long aaaa and a kje sound.
Thank you for trying! I didn’t mean to give you homework. I’m just very interested in other languages. I think your pet name is very sweet, thanks for sharing!
I'm Sweet Potato.
We hadn't really decided on any pet names yet, and while intending to say sweet pea, she accidentally said sweet potato and it stuck.
That's super cute!
Your name isn't Amity is it?
You just made me remember how I called her "little star" for years, after the Beau Taplin poem..
No clue why I stopped. I'm going to start back up, and see what she thinks :)
Awwww. I’m sure she will appreciate it!
Wi-Fi
I do the same 😄
Is there a story behind it that you can share?
I’m a geek, my wife claimed I love my Wi-Fi more than her (in a playful way) so I said, I love you just as much as my Wi-Fi…. Called her my Wi-Fi… Then it just kinda stuck.
💻 🍆 💦
Yes. But you have to understand - to my mind, the purpose of a pet name is to entertain me, while mildly annoying her, by being unforgivably twee.
I call her my little Smoddy-Dimble.
My pet name has become Aqua from konosuba somehow haha
Hopefully not because you're that upset all the time!
Haha, I think it's my ditzy nature. I get called it anytime I forget something or cause a mishap.
It's the first half of his online username but with the first vowel replaced with oo
Like if I was called "tooken" lol
My family calls him Mickey. My aunt doesn't speak English and couldn't quite get his name right so now he's just Mickey, like the mouse.
