are you selling a service or is it a product? I feel like ecom is extremely tough to scale without social media ads. With a typical service/agency though, it seems more reasonable to build through content

Right now it’s an ebook. Might branch out to maybe a course of premium videos, or even merchandise. It’s based off soccer technique how to for players.
Initially for the first 3 years i just analyzed soccer without promoting anything on my YouTube channel.
Beware ads on instagram - according to a mess of redditors over there, once you pay you have to keep going.
If you stop paying, no one sees your stuff from that point forward
I think the only reason you should pay for ads is if you know who you are targeting and you are using the right platforms. Also, if your organic content isn't getting reactions, you should try to understand why. Otherwise, you could throw money at a paid ad and have zero ROI because of this reason, too.
On Twitter i just focus on content entirely and networking with the right people. Sales all come from connecting in the DMs
You have two choices: 1. Organic content, which means slower results but free or 2. Paid ads have a faster result but will cost you something. I'm in ecom, and I don't pay for ads. I maximise the power of social media marketing, and create contents which generated organic results. I used to read a lot of effective marketing strategies, and how to create interesting contents which made sales all over my Tiktok and IG.
