A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Hello! I’m a designer, not a photographer, please remove if not allowed. My family had photos taken a little over a month ago with a local photographer as part of their Fall mini sessions (10 minute slots). As a fellow creative, I respect the craft and understand that editing takes time, so I really don’t want to bother her asking where our photos are, but we’re treading into winter territory and these are fall themed photos, so I’d really like to have them sooner than later. How long do you think is reasonable to wait?

I assume there was no written contract/it doesnt contain an information regarding delivery time?

I think especially for such a short session a month is more then enough time for you to atleast ask. I would assume they did a bunch of those sessions and depending on at what point your shoot is in the queue they might not be done, but its reasonable for you to ask.

Maybe they even just forgot sending them out if they had 30 of those sessions.

All depends on their workflow. Should be discussed beforehand.

1 month is way too much.

I’m still waiting on mine. 5.5 weeks later for a 20 min mini session. I asked last Friday for an update and she said possibly end of this week 😤
