I'm looking to launch https://www.sidecharacter.ai on a product hunt soon does anyone have any tips? A bit about the product, it's a platform where users can build relationships with their AI companions. Any tips will be useful.

So there are freelancers that will generate upvotes (and thus featured position) for several hundred dollars. Given the affordability, I have been wondering how many products each day are just boosted by overseas accounts. I genuinely don’t know if the PH community that I remember from several year ago even exists anymore, or if it’s just effectively bots at this point.

So it's a pay-to-play that of game then, and here's me thinking building a community on the platform and generating organic growth was possible, but that not to surprising tbh.

Here are some tips from my side

  1. Create a teaser page on Product Hunt by scheduling the launch
  2. Build an audience before the launch by sharing the teaser page on social media, with your subscribers, and your maker friends.
  3. Reply to the comments on the launch day
  4. Be active in product hunt discussions
  5. Post a launch post on twitter, LinkedIn, Indie hackers, and PH discussions and also
  6. Post launch updates on social media

I interviewed 15 creators who ranked on top of product hunt and wrote a guide on how to launch on product hunt. You can check it out here: https://launchpedia.co/product-hunt-launch-guide/
