I built Indiedeals recently which is a list of black Friday deals from Indiehackers. I was thinking we would get 50 deals by the end of the week, but we added 50 deals and there were 70 submissions on our website in 5 days. It might not be a big number, but it gave me enough confidence to continue.

I also thought to remove the button at first, but loading 40 cards at once might make the website load slow. That’s the reason I’ve added the see more button.
What you said makes sense only, I will try to check if Softr has any lazy loading feature or other speed optimisation methods. Thanks for the suggestion.

I curated a directory of Black Friday deals from IndieHackers, Solopreneurs, and Bootstrapped startups.

Check out the website here → https://www.indiedeals.co/

Also, if you're running any black Friday for your startup or tool, you can submit them on the website, I will add them to the directory.

Here are some tips from my side

  1. Create a teaser page on Product Hunt by scheduling the launch
  2. Build an audience before the launch by sharing the teaser page on social media, with your subscribers, and your maker friends.
  3. Reply to the comments on the launch day
  4. Be active in product hunt discussions
  5. Post a launch post on twitter, LinkedIn, Indie hackers, and PH discussions and also
  6. Post launch updates on social media

I interviewed 15 creators who ranked on top of product hunt and wrote a guide on how to launch on product hunt. You can check it out here: https://launchpedia.co/product-hunt-launch-guide/
