Terrible call! Refs were terrible all night. Seems like they are letting players get more physical this season.

These refs get payed for calling the games? Yikes. Protect the players, guy dunking while running a fastbreak, gets hit or touched and then swinging forward under the basket and back, then letting go, and thats worth a tech? Protect thee players.
What the fuck is up with the rim hanging techs? Is the a new point of emphasis for some fucking reason? Swinging forward and then back is not a tech, it’s called not getting hurt
I thought they did away with techs for hanging on the rim??
This season is going to be horrible…
Porzingis seems to get a lot of those calls against him
What is this rule supposed to prevent?
Not that I agree with it but I think they're trying to eliminate players yanking the rim which caused a few delays last year from trying to fix/re-level the rim. Happened in a Celtics game, Nuggets v Heat, and in a Warriors game. Iirc, Warrior players were upset because it took so long to fix the rim, they didn't want to play because their bodies had gotten cold.
Who is allowing all these refs to make terrible calls on techs
What is the specific reason as to why NBA players can't hang on to the rim exactly?

Guess he should just let go early and fall hard on his back, maybe catch his arm like Bogut and never be able to shoot again.
Bring hang the rim back.
Fuck I miss 90’s basketball.
