Players need to call them out every time like FVV did Taylor. Just pay the fine it's worth it to send a message and put pressure on Silver to improve reffing.

Legit question OP, are you 12? You sound like a 12 year old.
Yet Draymond gets nothing for screaming for 45 seconds wtf NBA Smells rigged af
It's obvious the NBA has a problem with providing adequate referring staff and resources to improve the quality of each game. While forcing the players to play 82 games it seems little is done to ensure the 1230 regular season games are called fairly. Too many games for the refs to review and improve on their mistakes.
I enjoy watching Giannis as a player and think hes a great role model in the sport, but i think the tech was reasonable here. His taunt was up in the face of the other team.
The bigger issue is that two techs kick players out of the game. They should just make it 2 FTs if that player gets another tech. Kicking out stars is bad for the game and for the fans
until he turns around and aggressively points at the exit telling Giannis to get off the court.
The ref didn't make it an ejection when he turned around. Giannis was already ejected when the ref gave him his second unsportsmanlike tech.
It was a taunt. It wasn't just a stare, he also deliberately stepped in the dude's direction too. To his credit, Giannis seemed to quickly realize that was a bad decision. But that was a taunt and absolutely could have started some shit (which is why taunting isn't permitted).
Now, I don't know what he got his first tech for. Wasn't watching. But I would also suggest that regardless, once you've got a tech you should probably not be doing stuff like this the rest of the game. But, I can also understand wanting the referees to use some more discretion about handing out second technicals.
The Mutumbo finger wag would get an ejection.
Tbh I'm so close to boycotting basketball as I do with football (soccer).
I started watching the NBA because I started to boycott soccer because of all the corruption and in recent years the NBA gives me the same feeling.
It has really gotten outta control what the refs get away with and it totally destroys the viewing experience.
Giannis staring down Isaiah Stewart like he's a ladder.
It was a fucking disgrace, nba is supposed to be entertainment first, right?
I’m going to play devils advocate and say Giannis should’ve known better than to get himself thrown out over something so stupid.
Star players should not get a long leash just because they’re stars. You can’t complain about Draymond not getting techs but then in the same breath also complain about Giannis getting thrown out for picking up a second one for taunting. Beef Stew also runs hot so they were probably afraid of what he was going to do after the dunk after seeing his reaction from the Lebron incident.
Also I agree with taunting being a tech because they don’t want another Malice in the Place type situation. If a guy like Marcus Morris did this and got ejected literally nobody would care. Giving stars preferential treatment leads to uneven reffing and superstar calls which is not fair. Giving extra leeway to stars is how you get Draymond doing whatever he wants 24/7.
