When South Park first started I was quite young, so probably a lot of sex related jokes in the early seasons. It was also probably the first time I heard of Charles Manson. I would assume through South Park is also one of the first times I heard of Pokemon, as I was never really into the show.

Paradoxical undressing as part of hypothermia. I was shocked when I heard about it in a documentary years after I saw that episode.

For me my first thought isRobert Smith. I knew of the band called The Cure, but didn't know about their members or anything. To this day whenever I hear the name I sing "Robert Smith!" in my head and remember that episode. Extra weird because I am a substitute teacher and there is a kid with the name Robert Smith in my district. Lol.

LOL, my wife watched that with me and looked at me and asked if that was real.

That there actually were two teams named the 'rough riders' in the Canadian football league, for over 30 years.

Metrosexuals. I remember I watched that episode when I was 11 and I was actually surprised at the time to learn that it was a real thing and not something they made up.
