Ron Rivera is just the modern day Jeff Fisher.
Good coach but never great
He… he doesn’t. Dude he knows he’s on his way out, he’s rightfully collecting his checks and enjoying the ride now. More power to him, honestly. Enjoy going from Riverboat to Retirement Ron.
Hasn't had a winning record since 2017.
He clearly came for a particular reason, without illusions about him being an elite coach. He came as a man of integrity and leadership to change the culture of an organization that was a complete embarrassment in terms of how staff and players were treated (among other problems).
I’m sure Snyder didn’t particularly care about it and just saw it as a necessary move, but I think Rivera has largely accomplished that mandate. That doesn’t mean it’s not time to move on.
The real winning off the field
Joe Gibbs where are ya?
Well duh
Magic Johnson didn't spend all that money for a mid coach
Washington hasn't shown they deserve a better coach
Give him an honorary title and office in the Washington front office, promote Bieniemy and hope for the best
Why would we do that? He is a terrible GM and has stuck his cronies up and down the front office already.
Promote EB and just get rid of this dude ASAP.
Because he’s good enough, he’s smart enough, and gosh darn it people like him.
Seems like we’ve known Ron wasn’t the answer for 3 years
He’s there to keep the ship upright and manage an orderly transition. The HC-in-waiting is already there getting acclimated. I can see Ron retiring after this year and handing things off to Bienemy
