And I can’t help but be skeptical of an Oline ranking methodology that puts the Seahawks in the middle of the pack. But unfortunately I mean it the other way around.
I feel like knowing how incompetent Tepper is he is overdue to try on a “Patriots way” cycle.
I live in NYC so only get to go to Jets and Giants games at MetLife. It’s nice because it’s so quiet you’d be able to hear the birds chirping…if only any could survive in the toxic waste of the Meadowlands.
He clearly came for a particular reason, without illusions about him being an elite coach. He came as a man of integrity and leadership to change the culture of an organization that was a complete embarrassment in terms of how staff and players were treated (among other problems).
I’m sure Snyder didn’t particularly care about it and just saw it as a necessary move, but I think Rivera has largely accomplished that mandate. That doesn’t mean it’s not time to move on.
Shouldn’t they be targeting (or saving picks for) o-line instead?
I mean I know I’ll sound like a homer but they didn’t always hold. They played within the rules. The NFL DID change and tighten those rules right after, by the way. But the LOB were still amazing then too.
To say a defense with Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Chris Clemons, Red Bryant, Brandon, Brandon Browner etc won that game because they held is silly. It was an unbelievably, insanely stacked defense. The only defensive starter who wasn’t pro bowl caliber at the very least was SB MVP Malcolm Smith.
