I believe the spring is broken/needs a battery change. It doesn't have a strap or anything

No, it's not real

Fake. No value beyond the sentimental.

So THIS is where Invicta got their porthole designs from!

Hmm it says datejust but there’s no date hmmmm 🤔

Bruh. Come on...

It’s worth a fortune to some wealthy museum. This predates the first quartz watch by 100 years!

It is extremely not real and worth nothing except for sentimental value because it belonged to your grandfather.

Not even worth the sentimental value. I'd be like my grandpa rocked a fake. Sad times.

As the other comments indicate, this is an egregiously bad fake.

  1. "Perpetual" is in reference to an automatic (i.e. a type of mechanical) movement; quartz is a battery-powered movement. Can't be both things at once (unless it's got Grand Seiko's Spring Drive).
  2. "Datejust" requires a date wheel/window, which is not present here.
  3. Rolexes are Swiss-made watches, which have a "Swiss Made" marking at 6 o'clock. This example is lacking this marking.

Your grandfather was playing a joke on you.

Trolling, surely?
