I want to mention how much altitude mattered this game. The sloppy second half with both teams looking slow and sluggish was so huge. I’m actually a huge fan of Trae sitting from 8:30->4 minutes to get the last breath of air to go all out for the last little bit, while everyone else on the court is gassed. Luka and Trae share the scoring record for Mexico City now... The Hawks and Mavs should play next year in Mexico to decide it.

Jalen Johnson absolutely owned Banchero all game. Trae had a crazy first half but that should be the biggest takeaway

He really needed this first half. After that T he had that fucking awesome sequence with the 35 footer, splitting the double team for a floater, and then like 6/6 from FT to close the half. Awesome game dude

I know all anyone cares about is efficiency, but if you watch Hawks games, Trae pretty much creates a wide open, good look every possession where he is handling the ball. Even when his efficiency is bad, he still is basically running their offense. When Trae starts shooting the ball better, Hawks could be really legit.
The league players and this reddit shits on trae but he is offensively a powerhouse. Time and time again he upsets teams with a mediocre cast.
