A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Theres a photographer who did a photoshoot for us twice now. First time - great photos. This second time shot last week, theres only one photo i like out of fifteen that i can use for our Christmas cards, not because of editing or anything but just not all of uslooking at the cam/not all smiling or shots of us with our lips weird. She was aware this shoot was for xmas cards so i was wondering if there’s advice on how i could ask her for even just some raw images/if i could look at all the shots she took so i could choose some? $200 spent on a shoot was just really hoping for at least a couple good pics

If those were the best, imagine how bad looking the rejected were. I don't think it's a photographer fault you all haven't cooperated. You can try to get a reschoot for a lower price, but be aware, that it can end up the same, if any of you will not feel like it that day.

Depending on the number of shots that the photographer go and her editing skills, she might be able to cobble together one or two of the entire family looking good. She would take one kids good face shot and put it on another image where the kid had eyes closed, etc.

It's perhaps worth asking for an additional small fee.
