IEM: Sony IER-Z1R
Headphone: Sony MDR-MV1
Subtonic Storm
I would probably pick the Sennheiser HD560S.
I love it aswell. I mostly use sennheise hd800s for its sound stage but I think being labeled neutral you can definitely feel little bump in base compare to hd800s. Compare to these too I find hd6xx boomy lol. I had hd6xx thought it was good mid focused but once I got the other too boi it felt like I was listening to songs in New light.
Sennheiser HD560S.
my choice as well. it is very underrated.
Depends, but either a
- Phillips SHP9500 (full size open back) Or
- Sennheiser PX100ii (travel size) Or
- Joyodio VZ10 (IEM)
Probably the Joyodio VZ10. Everything I've mentioned just makes my music collection enjoyable but the Joyodio... It's got everything i need in a listening instrumentοΌand after 2 weeks I'm still gobsmacked what it can do for so many genres. A cheaper version for the everyman would be the CCA POLARIS or KZ Castor Standard Edition, or even the TRN MT1 MAX
Its hard for me without at least 1x TWS and 1x open back over ears, as i listen a lot on the go but still sit down at my desk for long peroids of time.
If i had opportunity to take one pair from burning house i'd take my Buds 2 Pro, as they sound really decent and are pretty versatile.
Honestly maybe the HD 660s2. I don't even own it but I keep thinking about how much I liked it when I auditioned it. I love my Utopia 2022 but I have a nice little wireless mode for my 6XX and Qudelix 5K that just adds so much convenience that I'd almost rather just swap that over to the s2 for a nice middle ground and get great hi-fi but portable. The Utopia is not at all portable.
HD 650 for home usage, WF-XM4 TWS for outside/office use.
IEM: Symphonium Crimson.
Moondrop Dark Saber
Probably my IER M9s. Itβs hard to beat due to how good it sounds and how comfortable and well built it is. Itβs the perfect trifecta.
Hifiman Arya Organic or for iems - Tin hifi p1 pkus
Moondrop Alice
Kinera Nanna 2. Nothing else I have comes this close to the sound I seek.
I've been in this hobby for 10+ years and I own multiple kilobuck sets and too many cheaper sets.
STORM.
Dan Clarke audio aeon 2 noire
6xx, P1 Max (with good channel matching+QC) and Qudelix 5k. Yes its 3 but still
Well there are different headphones for different reasons. I very much like and daily drive my Empyreans but they aren't good for travel, work, or quiet places. For those I use my focal elegia. I'm not going to say there isn't better out there in each category however I could go without buying another pair of headphones.
Maybe a Kennerton GH50. Never tried so I cannot be 100% sure, but on specs they are really close to what I desire.
- Headphone: Ananda SM
- IEM: Softears Twilight
HD6XX
Audiosense t800
Probably ksc75 or eb2s. I need to be able to use them on a bike
UE Reference Remastered for IEMs. Audeze MM-500 for headphones.
Tenchjim Oxygen
Headphone: Focal Utopia 2022
IEM: Probably the Final A8000
Etymotic ER3SE.
I have JH Audio custom fitted, so Iβm fine with them. I have some other headphones but the ones made just for me are so comfortable
I would buy myself a pair of HD800S's for that.
Headphone: HD650
CIEM: Hidition Viento D
UIEM: AirPods Pro or Moondrop Aria
If I had to pick one irregardless itβll be HD650.
fiio fh5 so long as i can get replacements (fuck mmcx)
I was in the market for a used 6xx cause in my area they were going for cheap. Then i started seeing good prices for the 600. Then eventually i managed to snag the 660s1 for $190 USD fresh in box and all. Suffice to say iβm not going upgrading anytime soon lmao
IEM: My MK3s, absolutely amazing
Headphones: I'd love to try the HD800s but if it's something I need to own then the HD600s
Ok hate me but I use my Airpods Pro 2 the most despite owning a bunch of other iems. So probably that.
I have and it was truthear zero
Audio Technica ATH-AD2000
HD600
Tough choice - Z1R it is then
Headphone, my modded Fostex T50RP, iEM Ibasso IT01
DT1990 Pro.
I work in pro audio so have luxury of sampling all the kit yet I always return to the 1990s. I like the sound stage and they are the most comfortable to me for long sessions.
Stax L700.
The Focal Clear closed the doors to dynamic and planar upgrades, but it was the L700 that killed the upgraditis
Focal Utopia
Monarch MK2 if it has to be an iem. MDR-Z1R for headphones.
