Recently i saw a timmy made a stop this hobby right now and keep some iem, and thought of this. Not everyone has the luxury to keep many stuff. So if you guys get to choose just one item to keep forever what would it be?

My choice is the Monarch mk2. πŸ˜€

Salnotes Zero, cheap, light, fits well and 80% of what I would expect in a high end headphone, good enough for me

Sony ier z1r because I can wear it

[–] ehuud@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I already have mine, the focal clear. I cannot imagine how it can appreciably sound any better than this.

Andro 2020

I have owned more expensive iems like Z1r, K10, Anole Vx, solaris but I still have the andro 2020 as my favorite

Grado RS-1X’s. Lots of folks hate on them but they’re superb fun and massively open.

IEM’s are all pretty crap. Maybe my old phonak’s..

My FiR KR5 could hold me over forever I think.

Dita Audio Perpetua. My only true love for this hobby.

[–] fuzeebear@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Etymotic ER2XR or Sennheiser HD650

[–] DJGammaRabbit@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Mm100

Moondrop variations

[–] kapsontong@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

My endgame is Kz ZSN Pro.

Avantone planar

[–] iankost@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Focal Radiance - I wear my clears more, bit the Radiance are worth it when needed. For IEMS, my jh7 ciems - your hear nothing but the music!

[–] SoulOfTheDragon@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Can't use pretty much any IEM as they do not fit my ears, but I'd stay with my Beyerdynamic DT770. Maybe jump to higher up tier in case of free upgrade, but still stay with Beyerdynamic.

Headphone: Edition XS IEM: XENNS UP

[–] TheTwoReborn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

for convenience APP2 but if I really don't want to compromise (much) on audio Focal Bathys.

[–] Choc_Raptor@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Samsung AKG USB-C

[–] Nick663@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ananda Nano all the way.

Sony IER-Z1R for IEM and HD800s for headphones. The IER-Z1R makes up for the lack of bass on the hd800s.

[–] zoupasupp@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Either Koss Porta Pro with Yaxi pads or Letshuoer S12 Pro

Headphone: sundara

Iem: variations

[–] Dalamo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro.

Because it will last me for a lifetime, and I will be getting old, so I'll appreciate the treble when I can't hear as high anymore.

[–] alexseiji@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

My Bowers and Wilkins P7's for overear

My Audio Technica CKR70x for in ear

Hifiman ananda.

[–] Benaudio@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Blessing 2 non dusk

[–] TECHNICKER_Cz3@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

anything? the Stax X9000, no contest.

[–] Salvuryc@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hellberg Xstream MP the ones that get me trough everything. Plus quiet means better focus.

These things are way better than expected.

[–] gelade1@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

it changes from time to time but I still own the he1000 stealth and the u12t so that's saying something...or I just got lazy selling stuff

[–] No-Context5479@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Sony IER-M9 because it's made me stop looking for anything new

[–] hewmanbin@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

With a realistic budget? I already have it. Moondrop Variations. I don't really see a reason (other than materialistic/completionist reasons) to go higher.

With an unlimited budget? Elysian Annihilator.

EE x A&K Odyssey. For me, it's perfect.

[–] YuunaShiki@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'll keep my most expensive gears for sure, though they're the only ones I have πŸ˜‚ But if I get free picks: Elysian Annihilator, and maybe a ZMF headphone.

I would agree with you! Monarch MK2 with a good DAC

Definitely my hd800s I guess I'm basic.

[–] Krona_castle@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

IE600 and a hd560s

[–] P3asantGamer@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I have a few headphones already, I have the Focal Elgias, Blessing 3s and Senheiser hd560s, with a few lower priced iems and headphones. I have a good rotation going on and probably don't need to get anything for a while.

[–] enkistyled@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

IEM: Andromeda 2020
HF: HD660s, HD800s

[–] G8KK0U@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago
[–] Hercule-Porotta@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Shure se846

[–] LaoRenMin@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

U12t. It is my ideal target, it sounds so natural and right to my ears. I still appreciate other FRs but that's my ideal target.

Probably weird choice. My mobius I'm very happy with. Good for on the go (a lot as a student) and sounds good enough for desktop use.

[–] ext23@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm on the way back from the store with a Thieaudio Prestige LTD. This was a massive purchase for me. I couldn't afford to upgrade any further even if I wanted to. Consider me quit!

[–] ashrafazlan@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Monarch MK2 if it has to be an iem. MDR-Z1R for headphones.
