[–] BadOnion@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

"r/Fun is a private community" Well, that's not very fun

[–] neon_overload@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

But headphones are supposed to be fun

[–] ScionEyed@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

With buds like that, the best choice is honestly Scarlet Fire

[–] sycron17@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Damn r/beatmetoit 🤣

I'm new here, but why is everyone suggesting this song to listen to cheap earphones?

[–] stormageddon2205@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It all started with an Aussie dude called Dankpods on YouTube. He does some headphones reviews and the song is often Scarlet Fire.

[–] Funny_Newspaper_377@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

What's the speciality of Scarlet Fire?

[–] romhacks@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It's just the song he uses when he's trying to blow out cheap earbuds. It's also got some nice thuds to it which probably helps

[–] halffullpenguin@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

its a very hard song on the headphones so when you play it with alot of power it can damage them.

Part of the hobby IS the gear, I can’t stand when people just keep saying it’s just about the music.

If you want it to be that way for yourself sure, but I’m actually interested in the physical devices themselves and how they vary in technology and sound.

me personally i would start at the epic of gilgamesh (in sumerian ofc)

This hobby is about sound reproduction.

You're thinking about music, the hobby which focuses on music.

I remember the ones that came with my iPod back in 2007, my trick was push them as close as possible to my ear canal (keeping my fingers on it). That way, they didn't sound like shit.

009 Sound System - DreamScape

[–] kurisuuuuuuuu@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

i joked about this with my friends beacause im usually the weird music guy introducer and they said what would i recomend if they asked me of usual music, at the end we though plantasia by mort garson is a perfect introduction to music, simple positive and really enjoyable

La Hee - Masayoshi Soken

But the earpods are the GOAT. They beat any IEM I've tried and I still keep them around even when I have my headphones with me.

Bubbles - Yosi Horikawa

I always try this Song on new pairs. It's fun to listen to.

[–] gitartruls01@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Ay! Stumbled across that song on Tidal by accident, first time I've seen it mentioned anywhere. "Letter" from the same album is equally trippy

[–] neon_overload@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Through the Fire and Flames by DragonForce

Flowing filling

[–] homesicalien@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is the same thing as "a good photographer doesn't need a fancy camera" or "the best camera is the one you have in your pocket, ready to use". Bullshit and bullshit. Gear matters if you know how to use it.

Try the "Kind Of Blue* Jazz album. Earbuds are pretty much open ack headphones in ear. It will be good for songs focused on the mods and treble such as Jazz for example.

Robert Miles - Children
