Last night, the Bills Mafia seemed to be extremely loud hoping to give the disadvantage to the Broncos. However, Russell Wilson seemed unfazed by it.

I love watching the NFL game where the fans get into it. To the point, I cannot hear the commentators or rather hear the crowd noise instead.

To your memory, what are some game that showcased the loudest fan bases in the NFL?

Been to a bunch of Pats games, Commanders (and whatever they were called before) games, and a few Ravens games.

Also went to college in Louisiana. Nothing will compare to deaf valley.

I went to Panthers vs seahawks this season where we caused 8 false starts. I re-watched the highlights and it was LOUD at that game lol. I guess I didnt realize because were in the stands screaming half the game but that one definitely stuck out to me when I watched the highlights later

Obligatory manure chant game (also I was there).

[–] Illbeanicefella@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I was at the 142.2 decibel game when the Chiefs kicked the living shit out of Tom Brady. It was incredible.

The time Wentz got booed in Philly with an empty stadium

[–] wellallmostly@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Happened all the time at Fedex too

[–] shlem13@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I was at a Seahawks game in 2013 when they were in a pissing match with KC over loudest fans. Guinness was there. Meters on the Jumbotrons.

My ears rang for a week.

Last year's Chiefs/Raiders game at Arrowhead, after Chris Jones strip sacked Derek Carr and had it called back as RTP, was the angriest crowd I've ever seen. I'm not sure how it came across on TV, but the display of hostility was unmatched in my memory.

[–] Tgreent@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Piggybacking since you mentioned Arrowhead- Mine is the 03 playoff game against the Colts when Dante Hall returned another kickoff for a touchdown. It was absolutely wild, I’ve been to arrowhead a lot and that one is far and away the most electric and explosive experience I’ve ever had there

Niners-Saints 2011 NFC Divisonal Game. In person.

The Catch III by Vernon Davis caused the place to absolutely erupt. To the point where I was genuinely worried about the structural integrity of Candlestick lol

Russ was a Seahawk for a decade, he’s used to loud stadiums.

That being said I’ve been to a few Hawks games and it’s fucking loud. TV doesn’t do it justice.

[–] issue9mm@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

In person, Ravens / Chiefs (the one we won)

But the loudest I've ever experienced on television was when I was working in Albany, NY. This was years ago, back when the Bills still sucked, and had for a long time. Fitzpatrick was the QB.

I was hanging out at McGeary's, which was an awesome Bills backer bar. Bills / Pats was on TV, and I got a work call. Realizing how loud the bar was, I went out of the bar, across the street, and around the corner to take it -- of course at some point the Bills did something good and the bar erupted so loudly that my boss said "Sounds like someone got a touchdown!" I laughed it off and said "Yeah, sure did."

Went back into the bar after, expecting the score to be 7-0 or maybe 7-7 or 7-14 or something, but it was still 0-0. "I heard you guys screaming all the way around the corner? What happened!"

"Oh. We got a first down!"

Rams vs 49ers NFC Championship — SoFi is literally just an echo chamber and it was basically a neutral site game so no matter who was on offense or defense it was LOUD down in the inner bowl.

[–] Rulligan@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Lions home opener against the Seahawks this year hit 127 decibels, which is now the Ford Field record. It was insane in there and I'm glad I brought ear protection.

[–] jimmyhoffasbrother@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Seahawks games during the peak Legion of Boom years.

[–] nekogarrett@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I went to a few games during the greatest show on turf days of the STL Rams and that stadium was shaking.

[–] Dorkamundo@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Hard to say... My last two Vikings games were the Minneapolis Miracle and the Colts game last year and that's pretty far apart.

[–] AnxietyoO@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

the interception vs the Vikings in the 2017 NFC championship game. the crowd noise like muffles the audio when you watch the highlights.

[–] Wookieebalboa@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Been to a Monday nighter in the Georgia dome. Hands down loudest NFL football I’ve ever been to

[–] TiP54@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

THIS Dolphins/Jets MNF game, I sat in the endzone where Ronnie scored in the end, been to 30+ games in that stadium, loudest I’ve ever heard it get.

[–] ND7020@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I live in NYC so only get to go to Jets and Giants games at MetLife. It’s nice because it’s so quiet you’d be able to hear the birds chirping…if only any could survive in the toxic waste of the Meadowlands.

[–] Newpower608@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

2012 Ravens Pats, that bullshit chant almost broke my speakers

[–] IamNo_@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Was this after Ray Lewis assassinated Wes Welker in cold blood to force a fumble recovery TD? and they didn’t call a penalty? I think I was at that game

[–] Good_Energy9@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Cowboys Saints 09 I think

Domes get loud

[–] BringingSzczexyBiak@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I attended the Chiefs-Bengals AFC title game a couple years ago. I have never heard a crowd cheer as loudly as they did when they won the overtime toss. Gave me goosebumps.

[–] iiTryhard@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

That makes me very happy that they took the L lmao

[–] NOLA1987@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Steve Gleason's blocked punt back in 2006, when the Superdome reopened for the first time after Katrina.

There have been other times where the Superdome was just as chaotic and passionate, but that night just a year and change removed from losing all but the clothes on my back...one of the greatest nights of my life.

[–] Adorable_Cat_7741@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

When polamalu intercepted Joe Flacco in the 2008 AFC championship in 2008 to seal the win to go to the Super Bowl. Watch it on YouTube it was crazy

[–] Dubois1738@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

A little different but I was out the Eagles-Falcons playoff game from the SB year and the crowd experience on that last 4th and goal was insane. Goal line stand with the season on the line, everyone in the crowd is trying to be as loud as possible, then Ryan chucks it up and it quieted for what felt like forever as everyone is just holding their breath, before erupting into the loudest stadium I’ve ever been in when it finally fell incomplete.

[–] Outrageous_Mix1624@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Saints first game back in New Orleans after Katrina

[–] thegreaterfool714@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

The nfc championship game between the Rams vs Saints was loudest I remember.

I was so intimidated by the Saints and that crowd.

The fact that the Rams made a comeback was amazing it just got completely overshadowed by the controversy over one of the worst non calls by the refs.

[–] Poignant_Rambling@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

49ers last home game at Candlestick against the Falcons when Bowman got a pick 6. The stadium was shaking.

[–] Kerbonaut2019@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

On TV: the Ravens Patriots “manure chant”

In real life: Tom Brady running onto the field for the SNF Super Bowl rematch with the Falcons in 2017

[–] birdman133@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

AFC championship game at arrowhead against Tennessee

[–] hosalabad@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Having been to Cowboys games at both, New Orleans is way louder than Atlanta. NO is my loudest NFL.

[–] GodILoveBeinATurtle@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Seahawks vs eagles in Seattle the game Wilson caught a touchdown from Doug Baldwin. Happened right in front of us.

[–] Spirited_Edge_449@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

My family is from Texas but moved to the DC area for my fathers work.

RFK used to literally bounce back in the day.

[–] kaixen@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Was at the Jets / Bills MNF game to open this season and it got rowdy when the jets scored late. Blew the lid off the place with the punt return walk off. Really made up for a-rod injury.

[–] Ill_Enthusiasm6661@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Russ played in Seattle. What’s noise to him?

[–] gtfoutmyface@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

2011 Falcons vs Texans (in Houston).

I remember it being so loud I couldn’t hear the anything but the crowd through the tv .. The falcons weren’t able to hear their plays & audibles either

[–] Economy_Cat_3527@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Broncos at Seahawks in the Kingdome circa 1989, regular season divisional game. Went down to the last play, Elway running all over the Denver backfield. Incomplete pass near the endzone finishes the close contest, Seahawks get the win. Ears ringing, voice gone. Like EVERY Seahawks game I've been to. Go Hawks!

[–] Mahomey151@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

Patriots at KC IN 2014. Set the record for loudest stadium that night.
