1st player to be a team owner, head coach, pop sensation, and starting QB at the same time
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
Very injury prone but productive when healthy.
If what we heard about him asking for ownership stake in a franchise is true, any team should be greatly concerned. I mean his own dad said that if he doesn't like the team that's likely to draft him, he'll play in college another year. Honestly, he sound like an entitled douche bag, which is probably a more likely an indicator of how he'll be in the NFL, irrespective of pure physical talent. His whole team, offensive line, wide receivers, QB coach, OC, and HC may realistically fucking hate his guts day 1 given what we've already heard.
Wins a Super Bowl with Bears. All time leading Passer.
Depends who drafts him.
I don’t think he’ll be the trailblazer that some want him to be. He’ll be a wasted 1st overall pick
Booty butt cheeks.
Asking for part ownership of the team and his dad threatening to hold him back another year if they don’t like the team that will probably draft him? Flame out is my guess.
Somewhere between the worst QB of all-time and the best.
Honestly, I'm not very optimistic about him in the NFL..
I think I could answer this question better based on where he's drafted..
I don’t know.
It'll depend on where he goes. His college film is very similar to Justin Fields, with less speed, and we all know how that's going.
??? Nothing like Fields
Kyler Murray level of success.
He'll get drafted, play some games, get paid and retire.
He’s gonna get sacked a lot.
No clue. I’d think more like Leaf and Manziel than Burrow, Hurts, or Herbert but not like a J. Russell or Akili Smith. Maybe like a Kyler or a Wentz.
Go to a shit team and either be like CJ Stroud or Josh Rosen.
He'll spend an off-season at the buffet, move to nose tackle, and become an all-time great at the position.
I don’t think he’s going to live up to all the hype
They way the media has crowned him already makes me hope he sucks lol
He worked his ass off to accomplish a dream and you don’t like him because of the media? C’mon man
Bust. I don’t see him living to the hype and he’s a bit of a diva already
He'll either be Ryan Leaf or Peyton Manning, maybe somewhere in between
I could see a Vick type playing career, electrifying highlight reel but maybe not enough to get over the hump fully.
Highly depends on what team drafts him
idfk
Drafted by giants and will be considered a bust because our organization is so fucking ass
I think he’s a bust
Honestly never gave it much thought, hopefully successfully
Painted nails, crying, and interceptions.
He will be a huge bust. Calling it now
He’s the future of football
Bryce Young 2.0
Depends almost entirely on where he gets drafted as with every player
will depend on coaching
No idea about his career trajectory but imo we’ll see a very volatile rookie who will put up a high number of touchdowns and a high number of picks and a high number of sacks. If you look at Jameis’ rookie year stats (22 TD/15 INT/27 sacks) I think you can see around those numbers with a slight uptick for Caleb.
Imo the Mahomes comp is both unfair and lazy. Yes, he plays with a backyard style sometimes but as college players and prospects I don’t see a ton of similarities. He’s a pro ready, I think, with really special arm talent who needs a lot of coaching out of bad habits such as bailing from the pocket and obviously acclimating to the speed and processing at the next level.
Trying my best to remove the helmets I actually do see a fair amount of Sam Darnold in his game, in terms of the off platform throws and sloppy footwork. The thing with Darnold, though, is that he was a turnover merchant who never really improved from year to year. A lot of that was blamed on Clay Helton but we saw it at the next level as well. For Caleb, he has improved tremendously from year to year. I think the pendulum is swinging too far in the other direction in terms of people having their knives out for him this year. The overexposure piece. I definitely believe that there will be credible reports of Drake Maye being in the conversation at #1, but ultimately I’m sure it’ll be Caleb. Oddly enough, even though ownership is a bit of nightmare, I think the Bears with a coaching change are his best landing spot. Moore, money, and a few steps forward into their rebuild as opposed to where New England and New York are.
Depends if he gets drafted by team with good offensive-minded coaching who can develop young NFL talent. What separates a great quarterback from a superstar quarterback is coaching. Mahomes will not be Mahomes had he not went to KC and Andy Reid.
Poor man’s Josh Rosen
Has USC turned out any great (or even good) NFL quarterbacks recently? It seems like all the USC QBs are busts. I would be very wary about drafting USC QB.
It's still too early to tell but based off the last few weeks it may not be good for him.
