I’ve read hundreds of business / entrepreneur books and hundreds of personal development books.
As far as building a happy life no matter what stage of the entrepreneur journey you are in, this one takes the cake.

The 4 hour work week. Not because I took it literal, but it promotes the idea of finding smarter ways to do things.
For example, it explained that before you launch a product, test demand. That way you don't end up with a bunch of inventory that nobody wants. Sounds simple, but there are tons of people who have a garage full of knick knacks because they didn't bother to run a simple test with AdWords.
they didn't bother to run a simple test with AdWords.
You can text demand through AdWords ? How is that done ?
Let's say I'm selling inflatable bouncy houses. Rather than invest in 25 bouncy houses and crossing my fingers that people will want to buy them, I instead put up as basic website as I possibly can. Something like Shopify where it's basically all done for you..
Then I run some AdWords to drive traffic to my website.
This practice can be a little controversial, but I think it's okay. You could basically have the customer go through the process of making the purchase, and then at some point before you take their money, just indicate that it's on back order. If the customer has gone through the time and effort to enter all their information like shipping address, you can be sort of confident that they intended to make the purchase.
This might sound ignorant, but how do I run a AdWords test? Anything specific I am looking for?
The Easy Way to Control Alcohol by Allen Carr
Did you quit using it?
I was too intoxicated to continue with it dammit.

I've seen this recommended a couple of times but looked a bit self helpy to me... would you recommend it for someone not into "whoo whoo" stuff?

If you liked Principles, you should give "The Fund" a listen to... is a new book that looks at Ray Dalio and how he doesn't actually follow all of his principles as much as he claims to, an interesting read!

The rational male , not my favorite one but it changed my attitude a lot.
It's not the content alone of any book that changes your life, but the context of your life while you're reading.
If you're going through something tough, sometimes the right words can give you such clarity that you take dramatic action to change things for the better.
People who credit a book for changing their lives, really just had the courage to make a change when new information was presented to them.
Others didn't have the courage when in the same position, and maybe another book will have a big impact at another time.
Zen in the Art of Archery and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Eastern philosophies are a great mental palate cleanser that allow you to step outside of your own ego easier.

The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
Millionaire Fast Lane.
Really dumb sounding title, but well worth a read.
It really highlighted how that "work 40 years and save $500 a month and you can retire a millionaire" logic is a load of BS.

How did this book change your life? I like it, but I find it hard to believe how it could be life-changing.
