Whole existence of the military is questionable (not only in the US, but everywhere else) together with the governments, borders, permissions, involuntarily taxation ("legal" theft). People don't create wars, governments do!!! Local conflicts are alright, but you don't wale up and realize that you need to go and kill everyone in the neighboring town/village. Patriotism is a pile of horse shit, hopefully you didn't allow your kids to be that heavily indoctrinated in schools.
People (not stupid NPCs) can live and peacefully coexist without that crap.
