Hutchinson often dances at Ford Field wearing a Honolulu blue jersey, a silver helmet and eye black on one side of his face that he says prepares him for war. It starts above his eyebrow and reaches a point on his cheek around his mouth.

Not long ago, however, he was dancing at his home stadium wearing a pastel shirt and jorts — a tribute to Taylor Swift’s “Lover” album. Hutchinson was in a private suite for the Eras Tour concert with family and friends, including some little girls.

None of the other Swifties in the suite were more animated than Aidan. “He peaked that night during ‘You Belong With Me’ and ‘Love Story,’” his sister Mia says.

Going to try this at work today, maybe spin and saute myself into a bonus!

Hutchinson's tried spinning? That's a neat trick.

It's actually somewhat common practice for football players to do ballet and/or yoga to help their balance, limberness, etc.

[–] SevroAuShitTalker@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I imagine every pro athlete does yoga at this point

[–] JesusChristSupers1ar@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

tbh everyone should do yoga. The two exercises I want to do until the day I die are yoga and golf

Good on Hutchinson! Will pay off over his career, flexibility is so underrated. A few years back my spring season suitor in ballet was a player on the Jets, and two of his teammates were part of the season as well. Won't reveal any names but was impressed by how much they applied themselves to it. And it's always a fun surprise to see a pro from any sport in my Pilates classes.

I always thought Marshawn Lynch in his prime would have also been good at ballet. His nimbleness was always something to behold.

Barry Sanders did tap dancing I believe.

Alex Collins did Irish dancing.

[–] Statalyzer@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

A lot of Irish and Scottish dances can get pretty damn strenuous.

[–] HappyLongfellow@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Wouldn't say ballet is common. Yoga, yes but every athlete does that.

Aidan Hutchinson danced ballet and Myles Garrett writes poetry. Next you’re going to tell me TJ Watt loves the orchestra and Micah Parsons has a contemporary art collection.

[–] Deep-Secret@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

The contemporary art Micah collects is just photos of feet.

Also, and this is pretty old news, but Justin Tucker is an Opera singer. And a good one too.

[–] Remarkable-Job4774@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

And Justin Tucker sings opera

These are obviously not the "masculine virtues America needs". Football ain't what it used to be and this is the reason why./s

So we’re at the crossover event for the NFL scriptwriters now.

I know Lonachenko used to do ballet and he has some incredible footwork as a boxer. Maybe there’s something to that

BREAKING: Bears' Coach Eberflus has offensive line study Swan Lake to prepare for the Lions defensive front.

It'll be easy to find productions of The Nut Cracker pretty soon.

Makes sense

The best thing I did as a high school player was do wrestling for four years.

Helped out with balance and leverage tremendously.

[–] GaryBag@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

You learned to dance like that sarcastically?

[–] giants888@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I would have my cornerbacks practice pop-locking

  • Jukes a guy

“And that’s hip hop”

[–] Fatherfuckyou@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I was wondering where he got his sneaky athleticism

[–] Proper-Scallion-252@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Everyone knows Aiden only learned ballet so that he could make fun of guys when he was a kid to show them how queer they were, okay?

[–] Sinnerandsmoke@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It’s always ballet

[–] 2222lil@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

not sure id define it as “impressive” at this point

[–] DanCampbell89@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago
