If you have a main phone and a backup phone, can you pls judge my plan and share your system? I'd like to have a backup phone in case my main phone gets stolen or damaged, and for my second job which will require VPN, router, and location masking. I'm from the US.

Phone 1
US phone number for job that's cool with DNing - transferred to Skype, Hushed, Tossable Digits, or Flexphone
Signed into job email
Signed into job Slack
Local SIM & Data for hotspot
Take with me on adventures for maps, pictures?
2FA Banks, Accounts - transfer number to
Stores passwords

Phone 2
Us phone number for job that needs VPN/router/location masking
WIFI only
No local sim
Stays at accommodation
Back up phone

Main questions are:
- Does my plan look good, am I missing any details?
- Should I use Skype, Hushed, Tossable Digits, or Flex Phone to house my US# for 2FA and texts/calls with friends/family?
- Or should I get a super cheap US phone plan and downgrade it in addition to that / instead of that?
- Which US phone plan should I get, if so? I'm on TMobile right now.
- How to get US phone number for phone for job that requires location masking etc without paying for US phone plan?

Why not just get google FI? Or run two sims in the same phone

Google Fi will stop services after a year if you don’t visit the US, Ive read. Also have seen that some have had services stopped after 2 months in Mexico. How would I run 2 sims on one phone?

I Just have my normal 2fa US phone and phone number. Stays at my accommodation. Then I just use my global travel phone with local sims. Keeps it separate and everything gravy.
