I have a photography library that needs to be accessible from two physical NAS locations (Home NAS and Dorm NAS) with low ping and relatively high transfer speeds so that I edit photos directly off a NAS.

I want to sync the two NAS's so I can edit from both of them (I will be the only user ever accessing them so two-way sync shouldn't be an issue).

BUT

The issue is that my photo editing and management software use databases to index files and link themselfs to a single folder so I need the two NAS devices to show up as one folder/location on linux and automatically switch between NAS's based on which location I am at (Home or Dorm). I would suspect that this would involve DNS if it is possible at all.

If it helps, I am running Fedora KDE on the laptop I want to access the devices from.

Use the same IP range at both places and give the 2 NASes the same IP address at both places.
