Did he get a Super Bowl ring?
Man be hilarious if he applied for reinstatement last year just to collect a check
Wikipedia is undefeated. His career with the Eagles is 1994-2023, and he is listed as a Super Bowl LII Champ.
Can’t wait for the post on the Titans sub “Tackle released should we sign him”. Full of idiots over there!
Would be the giants best lineman
Gonna be some good trivia right? Who was the longest tenured player in Eagles history, something like that?
It's actually kind of an interesting story. Drafted, played, got popped for smoking weed, suspended, popped for it again, then went on the exempt list and the team changed ownership in the middle of it, he never applied for reinstatement for whatever reason and he just kinda... fell through the cracks. Crazy.
Tom Brady ain’t got nothing on this GOAT!!!
10% chance we legitimately sign him.
That's Super Bowl Champion All Rookie Team OT Bernard Williams, to you.
Jets should sign him.
Oh we didn't fire him, we just fixed the glitch.
Do we know why he never applied to be reinstated? I would imagine he just didn’t want to play football but apparently he went to the XFL and CFL for a bit
Belichick about to pick him up
Been stashing him on the bench for fantasy.
The Dodgers have been keeping Andrew Toles under contract even though he hasn't played since 2018. He's been dealing with some serious mental health issues(schizophrenia if I remember correctly) and the Dodgers have kept him on the roster so he can keep getting health insurance.
I hope the Titans at least invite him to a workout. We need serious help at LT
I think he could be an upgrade over Andre Dillard for the Titans, we get all our tackles from the Eagles anyway.
I can't believe we're giving up on a promising first round pick less than seventeen games into his career
He would immediately be the best OT on the Panthers rn
They fixed the glitch
Super Bowl champion Bernard Williams.
Have the Jaguars ever waived Justin Blackmon?
So, do the Eagles get a comp pick for losing this legend?
Bobby Bonilla type career
Does this technically qualify as the longest nfl career in history?
Does this technically qualify as the longest nfl career in history?
i'm not sure if those stats have "minimum games played" qualifiers like how many stats have "minimum 10 attempts". (he's averaging well below 1 game a year)
george blanda has the most seasons played at 26, so this would be longer than that.
Had to Google his highlights and tbh, I think he could still play. Like seriously, note his footwork and the way he moves.
Give Bernard Williams a ring damn it
Still technically was on the team in 2017…
Ahh yes the missing piece in our AJ Brown trade.
Big locker room guy
Longest tenured eagle ever.
Only eagle on three Super Bowl rosters.
Absolute legend.
Well he wasn't seeing the field so
When I was in the Army back in 2006 they found an old Staff Sergeant who left the service without concluding his paperwork, so they sent him back to the last active unit in his Brigade(Which was mine) so that he could do out processing/seperation paper work. I got to spend all week escorting a Vietnam vet around Fort Richardson and hearing about how "the good ol days" weren't as good as people think, and about having kids, grand kids, and so fourth. It was a real honor.
Howie probably would have gotten a 5th rounder for him if it wasn't past the trade deadline.
sure he's 54, but we could use some upgrades on our o-line.
So you’re saying there is a chance we could improve our oline?
I don’t understand why he continued to play football but didn’t apply for reinstatement to the NFL. Was he worried he was going to get suspended again? Did those other leagues not drug test?
I think he's Eric Berry's uncle.
He was technically with one NFL team longer than Jason Hanson. However, Williams played in three other leagues.
