Just survived Jordan clarkson hitting a bunch of absolute bullshit thank god

[–] CravilityZ@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That was a fun game.

Suns got two players (Booker and Durant) that are down right unguardable, and got two bigs (Eubanks and Nurkić) that play totally different that they can utilize accordingly.

John Collins was a great pickup. He’s rebounding on both ends like a menace and finishing really well in the paint. Remind me a bit of Gonzaga Brandon Clarke.

KEVIN N DEVIN BABY

[–] Awesomedinos1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Kevin durant is a cheat code.

[–] alf-isbackinpogform@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Utah really just gave up there in the final play

[–] Cul_what@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

KD will never be fair that mf an irl cheat code

[–] agentdoubleohio@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That might have been the worst defense I’ve seen for 99% of a game. Good thing we don’t play the jazz for awhile cause Clarkson js so good.

[–] ladrac1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Best game I've watched all season.

Keyonte George is our guard for the future.

KD is insane and I can't even be mad at what he did to us tonight.

[–] mercfan3@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Clarkson was phenomenal too. I wasn’t even mad at Phoenix’s defense most of the time, he was just making difficult shots. I was impressed with the backcourt.

[–] stonkerooni@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Cmon guys this is r/nba we know KD is washed don’t give up we can do this

[–] heshouldgo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

EASY MONEY SNIPER

[–] ChampagneAbuelo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Get Jordan Clarkson on a title contending team, he’s a serious baller

[–] Xsy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's a lot more complicated than what you saw tonight, lmao.

[–] Elkbowy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It may happen?? Dude has a super good contract that’s very tradeable

[–] Imthegoat175@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They said Suns don’t got a PG. Book was dishing that rock.

[–] SmilesUndSunshine@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Devin "Point God" Booker with 15 assists and 1 TO, deng

[–] toadtruck@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

15 assists to 1 turnover for a SG is crazy.

[–] k1ngkoala@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

These results mean that as long as Lakers don't get blown out by the Jazz in their game, Lakers should advance to next round off point differential even if they lose. Pretty safe position to be in

Edit: unless Suns win again (and Lakers lose to jazz) which could give them a large enough point differential to make them First in the group.

[–] mangomagicmaniac@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Filipino Suns fans ate lumpia tonight with JC, KD, and Book showing out

[–] jslee0034@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

kd is still clutch...

still praying kd wins a chip with suns and request a trade back to okc and win a chip in okc then retire here

[–] futurehousehusband69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

the hopium is insane but KD on a team with all those young, super skilled cats gets me aroused i can't lie

[–] JimmyToucan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

in this context of a trade specifically we’re leaving with something 🤓 preferably the equivalent of mikal cj and 4 1st rounders lol

[–] SankenShip@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Three team trade that brings Mikal home.

[–] JimmyToucan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

4 1st rounders + Chet and Lu or Lu and Jalen

[–] mayo_color_benz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Durant rewarded for a missed dunk. He’s already unstoppable, doesn’t need the ref’s help.

[–] Iivosuperplayer@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Please someone trade for THT so I don't have to watch him anymore

[–] xereous93@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This team is so different with Booker on the floor. He exerts so much pressure on offense. I think a lot of young athletes could take notes from the way Booker catches the ball and immediately makes a decision. So many advantages are created by the way he catches the ball and immediately moves towards the run rather than waiting for the defense to reposition.

Roleplayers benefit from open shots created by the switches and help defense. Glad people were ready to knock them down today.

Loves the way the Jazz pressured the attack whenever they got a board or a defensive stop. Created a lot of great opportunities in transition. Felt like some of their half court offense settled for tough shots though. Some insane defensive highlights from the Jazz tonight.

Also Durant is still Durant

Gg all

West Group A Standings

Team GP W L PF PA PD
Los Angeles Lakers 3 3 0 363 321 42
Utah Jazz 3 2 1 370 351 19
Phoenix Suns 2 1 1 250 250 0
Portland Trail Blazers 3 1 2 309 335 -26
Memphis Grizzlies 3 0 3 341 376 -35

Suns should look to beat and rack up the point differential against Memphis and Portland. If they have a better PD than the Lakers and the Jazz, and UTA beats LAL, Suns could sneak their way into first place. If LAL beats UTA, they'll be a wildcard and will still need that PD.

KD, Booker, and/or Beal need to bring the heat and blow out MEM and POR by 15+ each to have a shot.

[–] MagicSwag@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Clarkson continues to be a suns killer

[–] wilbybaby@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Please choose the jazz as your next trade destination kd 🙏

[–] MC-Jdf@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone catch Will Hardy being incensed after Keyonte shot that floater?

[–] omyhomyboy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

the way KD and lebron playing in their mid and late 30s shows how much progress sports medicine has made

[–] kit_kaboodles@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

KD at the end was just too good.

[–] ladrac1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Will Hardy in post-game:

"As a coach you hate moral victories and all that crap but games like these show your team that you're not that far away."

[–] Kuntsaw@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Booker really be a top 3 guard in the league man. It’s beautiful to see

[–] UnfortunatePhysics@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What the fuck KD

[–] humandignitybloc@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The distinct impression I've been getting from watching all the in-season tournament games is that NBA players are such competitive psychopaths that if you offer them anything shiny that no other team gets they'll ball out like it's game 7 on any given weekday in november.

[–] apples_r_4_weak@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Season game is a marathon. You dont need to be competitive all the time. You just need to hold on and play hard in the play offs. This in game tourney is a sprint though.

It makes things interesting imo

[–] ImRightShutUp1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Doomdoomkittydoom@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

If Booker is going to be Point Book, he needs to learn how to initiate the offense earlier, and not treat every possession like it's the final play of the quarter.

Maybe watch Steve Nash footage and figure out how to dribble around and through the defense until the defense breaks down or you have an easy shot.

[–] Pisto1Peet@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don’t want to sound mean but you just ratted yourself out as someone who doesn’t know what the hell they’re looking at

Book has pretty much mastered the art of orchestrating snap and double drag sets and wrinkles that make the Suns the highest offensive rated team in the league in games that he plays in.

Do you think sets are usually done with 15+ seconds of time left in the shot clock? The only way to play faster is to play in transition like those 7SOL suns and that would be ridiculous given the elite shot making that KD and Book are capable of.

And for what it it’s worth, the Suns are running different sets when KD sits, so you’re just… ya know, wrong.

[–] Doomdoomkittydoom@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Oh noes!

Do snap and double drag sets and wrinkles require waiting until there is 6 seconds or less on the shot clock to start?

[–] Neverthelessx@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Clarkson hitting bullshit shots 1 after another

[–] SocialJusticeGSW@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This was an entertaining game.

[–] WadeCountyClutch@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Utah and the suns always seem to Put on a banger after banger after banger!!!

[–] WadeCountyClutch@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Last year Lauri Markkanen played relentlessly and now this year it’s Jordan Clarkson

[–] Aggressive_Ad2633@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Kevin “Bus Driver” Durant about to lead this team to a championship. Unless it’s Suns and bucks again I’ll have to root for my boys in green

[–] KonradSober@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Jordan was insane in this game, wtf was that

[–] shazam482@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Love the court! That purple/yellow combo is just perfect
